They are really stuck in the PES'ed and it could be such a great alternative to Fifa even without all the big licenses. Barca deal money would have been better spend on broadening the development team and give consumers what we see on a real match day. Wake up, gameplay only is not enough nowadays.
I agree with you to an extent. They really do need to work on the gameday atmosphere and more quality in the presentation. Just because you don't have licenses doesn't mean you can't make it look like a real tv broadcast of the game. Even if the teams are fictional, make them look real. Give them more realistic names, place their logos on the stadium, give them stories and phrases. Liverpool, for example, has "You Will Never Walk Alone", how about something similar like "All For One and One For All". The point is make it feel like I am looking at a league that I am just not familiar with or I have not seen.

What exactly were you expecting? The replays in PES 2016 were in slow motion and taken from horrible camera angles. These replays were in normal speed and the camera angles had more of a broadcast feel to them. As for the Barça deal, Adam Bhatti said in an interview that there's more teams to announce that has exclusive deals with PES. So you can have that broadcast presentation, I'll take more licensed teams and stadiums.

You do know team names can be edited right? Even in the commentary for most unlicensed teams in the game.

Easy; I am expecting PES graphics + gameplay combined with FIFA's atmosphere and attention to detail (slick menus, sidelines, gameday atmosphere) and unlockables.

I agree. In my opinion PES 2015 nailed the pace/ build up of a real soccer match. PES 2016 is far too easy to create chances and the pace is unreal.

On Xbox One? Can team names and uniforms and stuff be edited on Xbox One? I thought you could only do this on the other console.

I'd definitely like to see some things taken from fifa that require no license, like no black out screens, continuous play, ball boys tossing balls in when the ball goes out of play, subs running the sideline, stat and story overlays etc. These are things that help with immersion that Pes should definitely be able to add.
