Not necessarily. If he gets KO'd quick and easy then i agree, but if he puts up a good fight and happens to get knocked out I still buy him as one of the strongest and toughest athletes in wwe. Before his wwe return I believe he suffered 2 or 3 straight losses and he still came in as a "beast"

Suplex City.

Sports gaming maniac. DC Comics, WWE, Basketball, Football, and movies are kind of my thang.

This isn't true. Even if he loses, KO or not, he's a guy that can legit fight in UFC, something most if not all of the entire WWE roster can't say. You really gonna look at Brock friggin Lesnar going back to staged fighting saying it's not believable for him to beat the hell out of Sami Zayn for example because he lost a real one off fight to a full time UFC fighter even though we know he's a former UFC heavyweight champion?

He's been completely embarrassed in the UFC on more than one occasion, and still has the best wrestling contract of all time apparently.

He never has to show up, he never has to speak when he does show up, and when he wrestles he's billed as an unstoppable force that could never lose a match clean. If Paul E. Dangerously is in fact his agent, then HE is the real Beast, not Brock.

The cover guy has been for 2K15 and 2K16, so it's a solid bet. I would guess more of a greatest hits "Suplex City Tour" type of thing, because he doesn't have any real story-driven feuds they could pull much from.

Brock Lesnar transcends just about everyone else in the company.

Good pick for the cover, even if the cover itself has way too much going on from a design standpoint.

I like it as I like the cover guy to be a major, long-term star. One option that would have been nice would be to have the former Shield members, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, on the cover together.

They could definitely make a showcase from his run to King of the Ring, his brief feud with The Rock, if Hogan is back in WWE's good graces (enough to get back in the game anyway) the brief Hogan/Lesnar feud, his original feud with The Undertaker, the feud with Big Show/Heyman, if he is indeed returning to WWE this year, we could see Kurt Angle pop up in the game this year and the Angle/Lesnar feud could be in there, obviously the Goldberg/Lesnar match is gonna be in there (awful as it may be), he could have his first little feud with Cena in there from '03 I think before they include the stuff from his WWE career post UFC with breaking the streak, Triple H, Cena, etc.

Basically, there's more than enough actual feuds to draw from for a Lesnar showcase.

Re: WWE 2K17 Cover Athlete is Brock Lesnar

Hmm. I was skimming around for some potential matches for a Lesnar Showcase, and some of these possibilities are pretty good.

King of the Ring 2002: RVD
Vengeance 2002: RVD, Intercontinental Championship
Summerslam 2002: The Rock, WWE Undisputed Championship
No Mercy 2002: The Undertaker, WWE Championship Hell in a Cell
Survivor Series 2002: The Big Show, WWE Championship
Royal Rumble 2003: the final five were Brock, The Undertaker, Kane, Batista, and RVD
Wrestlemania XIX: Kurt Angle, WWE Championship
Backlash 2003: John Cena, WWE Championship
Vengeance 2003: Kurt Angle and The Big Show, WWE Championship Triple Threat
Summerslam 2003: Kurt Angle, WWE Championship
Smackdown 9/18/2003: Kurt Angle, WWE Championship 60-Minute Iron Man Match
No Way Out 2004: Eddie Guerrero, WWE Championship
Wrestlemania XX: Goldberg
Extreme Rules 2012: John Cena
Wrestlemania 29: Triple H, No Holds Barred
Extreme Rules 2013: Triple H, Steel Cage
Wrestlemania XXX: The Undertaker
Summerslam 2014: John Cena, WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Royal Rumble 2015: John Cena and Seth Rollins, WWE World Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat
Wrestlemania 31: Roman Reigns (and Seth Rollins), WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Battleground 2015: Seth Rollins, WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Summerslam 2015: The Undertaker
Hell in a Cell 2015: The Undertaker, Hell in a Cell

Incidentally, nearly all of these opponents and half of these arenas are in either 2K15 or 2K16 (or, in the case of the last three arenas, guaranteed to be in the base game to begin with), so 2K would cut their potential workload significantly with a Lesnar Showcase. All of his opponents were in 2K16 except for RVD, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, and Goldberg. We already know Goldberg is in the game, and RVD was in 2K15 and isn't signed elsewhere. If they can get Angle and Guerrero licensed, then the Showcase would be about as complete as it could get.
