This was covered when the game came out - the style guide that MLB provided had the Rockies alts with purple sleeves, so San Diego Studio had to go with that.

It is funny you mentioned "Showtime" as I play this game pretty much daily and had not even thought about that feature for about the entire time I've owned the game. I've never used it, because I do Franchise/Season, and I am not even sure how/where/when to access using it. I have never experienced it "in-game".

(and I wasn't trying to anger any Rockies fans, I've just thought that white circle with black shirt/black sleeves is the worst uniform for several years...the purple makes it an actually decent uniform, ok, good uniform)

I wouldn't know since I have yet to see even one trade occur in Franchise and I have the trade slider at 9 too.
