What's to Become of NBA Live?

....As they promised, Frostbite announced for ALL EA Sports going forward and NBA Live included. Maybe it'll bring hope to, or ire from bashers. Either way its coming fast. The FIFA 17 release will be a data point for our future NBA LIVE hopes.

I'm a Philly Fan, so I have learned to "trust the process", lol.

When EA lost to 2k10 with Live 10, they felt they had to change the game and make an entire new game with Elite. They thought selling a new physics engine and controls would be enough to overtake 2k but it wasnt. They still have that belief and thats why they wont take a step back and build off of 10. EA has been quoted as saying they took a year to look at Elite and see what was usable...completely ignoring Live 10. Also completely ignoring that many people preferred Live 10 to 2k10.

Where are people getting that EA can't use or doesn't have the rights to Live 10 code because of Mike Wang?

EA suits decided to head in a new direction with a new engine a new vision so they started fresh by bringing in a hockey producer and by replacing devs that worked on NBA live 10. It only made sense from that point on to work on a new engine entirely than work on a complicated code that they had no part in making in NBA live 10.

Are people forgetting that EA produced this game along with the engine? LOL.

I have never even heard of them using another company's engine to produce a game.

Soo disappointed that we have most likely lost the console version of hoops i prefer to play (prefer the feel of this game over the other)

Not a fan of watching another anything consumer related being monopolized by anyone. the movie fight club literally just came to mind.

EA live execs, get it together and be F-ing honest. Working on one?, and let us know either way asap. allowing us the minority, time to free our minds of what we have really been hoping for.

And if you are, go all in and let it all ride and leave ur selves ZERO excuses when it drops.

NBA live Devs and all who have recently tried, i have seen ur passion through ur communication on OS and what ever happens dont loose that passion for ur next ventures and good luck.

Live needs serious work if it intends to actually move beyond the after thought it has become. After buying live 15 I waited for it to go free on ea access and I'm sure anyone with a passing interest in the game will get it that way. With that being said. This in my opinion is why EA fears 2K in the football world too and if the NFL wasn't a bunch of dicks they would handle licensing the way the NBA and MLB does
