NBA 2K17 Cover Athlete is Paul George (Standard Edition) Kobe Bryant (Legend Edition)

I respect Paul George's game. It's just that we were spoiled with the top 5 players (and top 5 legends) that it seems like a downgrade at this point. If the last 6 covers never happened, PG would be a natural selection for a cover boy. Still good to have him, he deserves a cover.

Anyway, Legend Edition looks nice, but standard edition isn't the best looking cover. Thought they would try some new design by now, but they stick to the same template. Custom Covers thread will be needed this year.

I love the sight of Paul George on the cover. It seems like a downgrade compared to the (current) superstar power we've seen since 2K13. It reminds of the days when we had players who made great impacts the season before become cover stars like CP3 & KG rather than just being the obvious popular option. Granted, I think Kawhi would've been a better option, but PG13 fits the role of a cover star from on-court play to him being a fan/player of NBA 2K. Just wish they had a different background concept rather than the standard red we've gotten for years. Idk, maybe a background based off of the cover star's team colors like in the Kobe edition could work well.

That Team USA picture on the cover is a great sight to see.

Could very well mean some inclusion of national teams. Last year the college aspect was in MyCareer only. It'll be interesting to see if and how national teams are implemented in 2K17.

Sounds like some people don't know how good PG is they know he's good
but they don't know how GOOD he has become. Dude was a monster in
the playoffs on both ends of the court.

Also I hope we can use the National Teams online
