NBA 2K16: The Contested Shot Conundrum (Part 1)

Really insightful article. What would you think about allowing green releases on contested shots when players are "heating up" or "on fire"? I think this would strike a nice balance between nullifying tough shot makers (like 2K16), and perfect release cheesing (2K15).

I feel like it's fine in play now. I know my team isn't simulation it's default so I'm sure it's gross on there. I get pissed about contested shots goijg in at times but then I just try to tell myself. That **** happens in the NBA or high school or college or in a pickup game. All you can do is contest the next one. Shooting is okay now for the most part for play now at least. Only time I REALLY hated the shooting was patch 4 last year.

Months later I respond:

Before we knew green releases would always go in now in NBA 2K17 I wouldn't have hated this idea in theory. But now? I probably wouldn't be cool with it.
