You guys keep insinuating 99 is perfect but it's not. 99/100 does not equal 100%. Like I stated, you can't create a player with a 100 rating in 2K and that's how it should be. 99 is the closest thing to the perfect basketball player...which was MJ.

Finally we're on common ground. I can't argue consistency.

And what part of "Curry is a good defender and makes up for not being an elite defender by being the greatest scorer ever" do you not understand?

Also, I'm not saying this would make Curry a much better defender, but again you can argue that no hand check helps Curry score (which is mostly false). But it also helped Jordan be a great defender.

His highlight reels are full of him using his forearm/hands to impede progress to the basket.

So should Steve Nash be a 99 OVR too since his shooting and playmaking was so good that it made up for not being a good defender? You don't rate a guy 99 OVR just because he's really good at one area. Basketball is played both ways. Even being the GOAT on offense isn't justification for a 99 rating when he doesn't even have above average defensive ability.

Well no because Curry is better than Nash was on offense and defense.

And he is AT LEAST an above average defender.

See this is what I'm talking about. You think offense is ONLY about a player's scoring ability. Fun fact using Per 100 Poss stats:

Curry had a 125 ORTG this year. 42.5 Points and 9.5 Assists per 100 poss. Crazy, right? Well in 06-07, Nash had an ORTG of 124. 26.4 points and an astonishing 16.5 assists per 100 poss.

So as you can see while Curry is definitely a better scorer, he's nowhere near the playmaker Steve Nash was. And playmaking my friend is OFFENSE.
