Just need to see what was improved and how it works.

In Rex we trust folks, simple as that.

I don't know these cats. I trust what I see in the final game.

He certainly says all the right things and has garnered some people's trust and optimism for the future of the franchise, including mine. In saying that though, I can understand the trepidation some others still might feel. EA has a long resume of dissapointing the sim community. Rex's resume isn't there yet. Madden 17, if done right, can give those people who are weary of trusting EA new found hope. Madden 17 will either make or break Rex in my opinion. Nothing worse than promising so much, gaining people's trust, only to under deliver. And nothing better than building the hype of the game to great levels, picking up people's spirit who were once dissapointed year in, year out and delivering the product we all hoped for. Then and only then, could we truly show the doubters that all is not to fear, REX IS HERE!!!

The @EAMaddenNFL Twitter has been tweeting out all the different official game covers, along with a bunch of photoshopped M17 game covers, since the start of yesterday. The statement "Madden NFL 99 introduced Franchise mode" is also factually correct for this series.

Not saying they didn't touch CFM, but I also don't see this as confirmation of or even hinting towards anything. There's nothing to interpret when you put the tweet in context.

I wouldn't expect anything less.

So far, he hasn't disappointed in what he has said what was going into the game. WR/DB, DPI, improved blocking, etc......

Up to this point, Rex has delivered on what he has said, there is no disputing that.

If people want to continue to doubt him and continuously ride me for that, no problem.

And how can one person under deliver when they said that CFM was a concern and needed improvement going forward? The only way that happens is when expectations are set way too high. For example, oh darn, setting hot dog prices didn't make it back into the game.

A lot of people though don't like the WR/DB interactions and think the line play is still the weakness of the game. I like Rex and think he will continue to improve on everything he says needs improving. But to a lot of people, the improvements are just patches to a game that needs to be revamped completely. Just because Rex says things will get worked on doesn't mean the improvements will meet the high expectations that many hold to the Madden franchise. It's the only game we could play with NFL players and teams. So EA is going to either get all the praise or all the hate. When I stop hearing people complain about the areas of the game Rex said was a focus point. Then I'll start telling people to trust Rex.

As I said, the high expectations are on others. It should be shoot high, aim low, or you will continue to be disappointed and not just in the only NFL football video ball game in town.

As I also stated, that's fine if you don't wish to hop on the Rex train. I already climbed on it.

And people will always complain because it's the thing to do, nothing has changed in the last decade on that note.

That's all I'm saying on the matter.

His resume is more than long enough. He's been there for 4 games and now 5 with 17 coming. And keep in mind that he was part of the transition from last gen to current.

I also realize he's not a programmer, he doesn't animate, he doesn't code, so his impact has plenty of limits. That's why I'm saying I'm not all that swayed by what the public figures say. It's not even personal, I just realize there is more going on under the hood than what can be talked about on Twitter.
