In order to defend this game you must work for the developer or one of them is your bone head relative. For anyone to say this game is on the level is nuts. I don't know how it ever got passed testing.
I think the problem comes from the division they create between the strikers (spammy combo multiplier) and grapplers (transition block speed). They try to control too much of the game through these attribute numbers that just don't add up, instead of letting the fight be in the hands of the player.
For instance, if I get submitted I want it to be because I wasn't quick enough with the controls, not because some bum had a higher attribute advantage; that's BS.
One the same coin, if I land a beautifully timed uppercut, I want it to do as much damage as any over powered striker, KOing me with a jab.
Call it moaning, but some of us want the game to be playable.

I agree that somethings maybe overpowered (I would say boxers jab and physical base stats atm) but if your a boxer and you mess up and it goes to ground you should expect to be in for a bad time. but if your not a boxer and you stand up against one you run the risk of being one punch ko'd at any point... what your saying about the attribute influence is ridiculous, its a computer game. go play ranked heavyweight its jon jones vs jon jones that way theres no disadvantage to anyone and you can live happily ever after.

MMA doesn't work that way. All fighters are different. Yes, they have specific disciplines, but it's not black and white like that.
Every fighter is different and anything can happen. But when the game locks your fighter in one way or the other,, it like decides for you what kind of match you need to stick to. which is total BS

Fix the pathetic body rocks ffs. One shot can mean a body rock in where you can't block your head or body and it allows the guy who rocked you to get an auto finish. It's a worse version of the death rock on UFC 1.

Body rocks do feel super random. I'll be slamming body kicks into guys at the end of nasty combos, and nothing.

Then a guy throws a jab - cross at my body, and BOOM, flash rock.

Uh.. Whut...

Got finished like that a few days ago and just laughed because it was so dumb. I think he was using McGregor and he pretty much did the spinning kick to the body the whole fight. I was blocking and avoiding the good majority of them and destroying him on the feet in the process. Last round he manages to connect on a random one. Health event. He hits the body some more. Game over. I was like "WUT?"" Lol.

Hey Pappy, that avatar is awesome. What is that from, or where did you find it?
