I'm almost tempted to say, take all the really cool features that you had in previous versions and put them back in. Well I guess I did say that didn't I?

Remember when there was goalie fatigue, and you had to rest or practice your team between games, and the Stanley Cup presentation went through every player on the team with an overlay of their playoff stats, and there were out of town scores that flashed on the bottom of the screen (I might be thinking 2K on that one).

Those things ^^^^ and others.

all of you mentioned a few things i totally agree with.
for me, the most important thing is an upgrade of the AI and goalies.

i have been playin as a goalie since i'm 6 years old and the goalies in NHL 16 are hilarious. they are dropping into the butterfly way too early and getting fooled on easy break away moves. (wouldn't wonder if they copied the motions of the noob from the go-pro-vids).

it should be more realistic in general. ppl should be forced to play hockey. i have seen guys online having a passing percentage of 40 and under. that's not what hockey is about. you should get rewarded for playing realistic hockey.
players fighting in front of the net should also be fixed. getting a cross crease pass through the slot is so f***ing hard in real life. therefore ppl would stop using skillzone and can concentrate on 1on1 battles.

I think many guys playing NHL don't care about arena atmosphere or presentation in general. thats why they should concentrate on AI instead of introducing things like world cup of hockey or other modes which get played once and that's it.

so, now you have seen I'm realy upset about the actual gameplay it has cost me many losses in HUT. I hope EA fixes some problems with the new game but I think there are only a few things being done, like every year.

I'd go through my long yearly list of desires for NHL 17... but honestly I can't because I don't remember enough of NHL 16 to even criticize it. I haven't played it since Christmas.

All I remember is this: The BeaGM mode felt so shallow and dull that I didn't even finish my first season (Up until NHL 14, I'd often go 8-9 seasons into a GM mode).

I remember the gameplay feeling more worse than NHL 15. NHL 15 was barely a beta release, but I adored it's gameplay. 16 felt like an alpha-release rewind from NHL 15.

NHL 16 lost by blowout to Madden 16 and Attila: Total War at keeping my gaming interest the past year.

Re: NHL 17 Wishlist: Features We'd Love to See

I really liked NHL 16 until I started a season. All my settings, and sliders seemed to change. The game play was totally different, it was like the CPU totally changed the whole entire game and completely ignored my settings and sliders.. I won't buy another EA Hockey game unless they fix this.

Re: NHL 17 Wishlist: Features We'd Love to See

Some things I would love to see in NHL 17:

#1. In HUT for collection purposes under each team is the silhouette of the cards you need and once you get the card it fills in. So you know 100% what you need. This can include all the TOTW’s ect.

#2. When playing vs online it takes unneeded time to edit your lineup. If an roster update comes out you should be able to edit the team you use and move the players around on that team. So when it comes time for the matchup you can get into the game faster.

#3. In GM mode I want to be able to sign my players in the regular season.

#4. In EASHL if your team is playing a game and your waiting in the lobby it would be cool to see how much time is left in the game and the score or the ability to just watch the game.

#5. To get players to play other modes do this. I don't play EASHL but I would if I could import my player into HUT. So each player would have a created player in HUT.

I play EASHL exclusively with a few friends. Opinions vary on this, but I actually do like the lack of customization of the players. It evens out the playing field and I think makes the games feel more realistic. The tiny forwards of years past with nothing but speed are gone thankfully. That said, there are a couple of things I think would make the experience even better.

#1. Implement some sort of system to remove troublemakers. Maybe 60 seconds or so before booting an idle player. There seem to be a ton of players that like to join, but don't want to skate. And then there's the "offsides" guy. I mean, come on, if you're offsides 100 ft from the action, that's clearly intentional.

#2. Option to play with CPU goalies only.

#3. Line changes. I can't take credit for this idea as I read it from someone else last year when they were talking about sending some fans to help in the development of the game, but I think it's a great idea. Basically, your player would tire at a certain rate and when you go back to your bench he'll get off the ice as a new you hops on the ice, refreshed and ready for the shift. Not sure how well it would work in reality, but if you had players that knew what they were doing I think it would be a great addition.
