Re: MLB The Show 16 Patch 1.04 Available Now, Here Are The Details

I used 30 team control with the tests. One thing though I found was I left my one profile, which I use for my team (all manual ), during the Sim the cpu and my profile completed a trade without me initiating it.

I hope that bug isn't still in when simming. I'll have to test that more later.

Re: MLB The Show 16 Patch 1.04 Available Now, Here Are The Details

Anyone who knows me knows I am NEVER shy about dissecting the game and pointing out what I think are flaws in the gameplay. I try to be vocal in the most respectful way possible, however, you may have noticed that, other than the sliders forum, I've been relatively quiet this year. This is NOT because the moderators or admin (hi @Millennium) told me to hush up. This is not because @Knight165 and @countryboy always seem to be there when I mention issues I have with the game. And this is not because I stopped buying the game. It's because, aside from a few small issues, this is EASILY the best iteration of the Show I've played in the last 4 years.

In my opinion, the gameplay and animations have been polished, the sliders work the way they were designed, and the CPU actually manufactures rallies in constructive and realistic ways (and it doesn't feel like comeback as I've said in previous years). Every game is going to have little problems and the baserunning thing seems to be something that needs to be addressed (though I use manual baserunning so it doesn't affect me), but this year's game seems the most polished in years to me. I respect what everyone else is saying, but . . . I'm just not seeing it this year.

This is my favorite Show to date as well. Plays a great game of ball and franchise has had some nice tweaks.

I probably have played this version more than any previous version.

I'm having a great time with it. Wish my Bravos were better but I don't guess I can blame the Devs on that one.

Re: MLB The Show 16 Patch 1.04 Available Now, Here Are The Details

I simmed another single team season.
I still think LuisSCEA did something in regards to RP's in the rotation.

So far...I've only seen RP's in the rotation if a SP has a non-DL injury(a DtD injury).
I wonder if that's where those RP starts are coming from and perhaps some of those RP starts are also game time coaching decisions.

For the most part I've been seeing that a SP that lands on the DL gets a SP from the minors called up to replace him.
In the past...it would almost ALWAYS be that RP.

I've been simming one week....checking the DL...and then checking the rotations....rather than looking at the season totals.

Still a lot more to look at on this.

My sims were single-team, just so that info's out there.

I think you may be right, but I believe that was pre patch as well. When I would Sim and look at rp in starting rotation the sp would be injured but not on dl.

I think part of the logic that still needs to be adjusted is it should be the pitcher with the most stamina pitching, yet is seems to be setup guys.

In my 3 (single team control btw)

Justin Wilson ---Set up man
Antonio Bastardo --- Set up man
Hansel Robles --- Long Relief Pitcher

I think you're right about it being DtD injuries and them starting the set up man vs the long relief pitcher. Another issue is that all teams have a long relief pitcher but some are guys that have very low stamina.

If SCEA could code it so that DtD injury for cpu controlled team equals them going to whomever is slotted in LRP role, that would do wonders for this issue, since most teams have a long reliever that is very capable of being a 6th/spot starter.
