I understand, I use common sense, but its NOT the players fault for the cheese, any game you play, players will find the cheese and run to it like the rats they are, its the devs responsibility or get rid of the cheese otherwise you're stuck playing with rats looking for nothing but cheese, it doesn't matter what the title is. You have to address glaring OP issues, exploits, cheats, etc. Until the game is fair and balanced, and anytime you have a new title and new game mechanics, of course exploits are going to leak slowly and soon become abused by all.

Its not the players fault, I'd be fully justified to join in the cheese race and win as many fights as I could exploiting because everyone I face is. And even if 1/10 matches a guy wants to have a fair, reaction based fight, why should I lose 9/10 looking for that guy, fighting fair only to have someone cheese after they realize I'm dominating every aspect.

This isn't bitching or moaning its constructive criticism. This game is legit broke. There is no argument to be had I could honestly care less what arguments you have against it.

Fights in MMA rarely end up in the clinch let alone get finished there. What percentage of fights would you say end via KO from the clinch elbows/knees in this game? Far too many to say the least.

Not to mention that if you follow up to "Finish the fight" you actually give your opponent the ability to recover where as if you back off his limp, rocked body you increase your chance of getting the KO.

Honestly I like this game in a lot of ways but it needs TLC. End of story. If this was my baby I'd be on it all day every day until it was right and then I'd be moving on to what needs to come for UFC 3.

Until i actually read an official mission statement about the game and the intentions of the game play, maybe we should assume that EA/Dev's wanted the game to play exactly like it does now with flashy, unrealistic striking scenarios.

Only EA knows. Anyone from the EA squad or a Dev want to clue us in on if it's an Arcade, Arcade-Sim, or Sim?
Regardless, the game is broke, its a joke, unless you dedicate hours daily to mastering cheese you're always susceptible to not only the players mastering the cheese, but newbies who don't know any better.

You can dominate the entire fight just to get spammed and magically unable to recover for no logical reason one fight and then survive getting rocked 10 times the next. You can avoid 90% of strikes and land 75% of yours, majority significant strikes, then fall victim to one clinch strike and fight over. Its a bad joke and the only ones laughing are the unskilled players enjoying the ability to exploit it. The only ones not complaining are the ones who don't care enough and would rather just sell and retire the game, and the again the ones who enjoy exploiting.

It wouldn't take more than a few hours if that for a dev to hop online and play this game and see what types of fighters are winning, how they're winning, and see imbalances and glaring issues.

When 99% of fights end via Full MT which never happens in MMA anymore, or TD to instant G&P or submission there is obviously something broken in the mechanics. When you can't get a stand up KO to save your life yet you can dominate the stand up exchanges at a ridiculous rate for 3 rounds only to get grappled and finished with ease at the end of it all something is wrong.

This was on beginner for a reason too. This game is a joke when it comes to STU game.

Unless they fix it, I am not touching that game again... Unless I want to play some ground/submission game, where it shines more.

I'm a Jits guy, and love subbing people out in this game, but even I can agree that 2 gate subs are kind of unfair.

It also allows scrubs to just throw them out with no set up, or regard to stamina/ grapple advantage, and sometimes get a lucky win.

I don't agree, then there will be no fear in subs.

I for one love the flash sub rear naked choke and Flying arm bar.

I wish there were more 2 gate subs to be honest, and don't say it takes a noob to get subs, because I know skilled players that won't even tap from a 2 gate sub.

More flash 2 or 3 gate subs please and less 4 or 5 gate subs that are worthless.

Example is the dum arm triangle from half guard that is a 4 or 5 gate sub I think.

Re: EA Sports UFC 2 Community Impressions

hahaha all you moaning about cheese!!! its so sad that because you are not the best or not at the level you think your at you blame the game and its developers. you moaned about takedowns n clinches being too easy, now its spamming body jab straights. everyone can be beat, and each fighter has a weakness. if you ask for something to be patched it will only make something else slightly over powered. so remember if you lose its not your fault, you were 100% the better fighter 99% of the time and its the game/this patch/other guy buying sad that was to blame.
