I don't know that it's *too much* work. I think that's kind of impossible to say. I do think it's more than simply creating the textures and pasting them on, especially for helmets. Like someone else said, you could have all kinds of issues.

Also, (and I'm not even close to saying this is happening and am completely talking out of my butt) if they were to be changing the models soon, even to thicken the arms a little bit, then they'd want to wait to introduce the new equipment to fit those new models.

This is something I've wondered about as well, though I doubt we would ever have it confirmed. We all know that the current models have flaws (like the knees!) and need to be replaced. Creating art assets when new ones were somewhere in the pipeline would be a waste of scarce resources.

Why is it that Madden player models still look like they have been riding horses?? They still all look bull legged? It's been like this for years now? It's like they have the same player models for years just with better graphics.. Don't like it..

We had a conversation at the studio about something we wanted added to NBA Live. We were basically told that the thing we wanted was part of a re-worked feature, so they were waiting until that new feature was implemented before putting in the thing we wanted, since the two would go hand-in-hand.

Graphics work like equipment would, I think, be about the same.

I honestly don't like the lighting in 16. One because progressive lighting is still broken, and two because they haven't figured out how to make the light not ruin the color balance like MLB The Show's team has figured it out. 1pm day time lighting is inexcusably dull.

The game looks better defined and realistic during 1pm rain, but that brings up another issue of how the game looks too different depending on what setting it's on. I've never seen a game do that and it's not good.

They need to take a look at the weather and lighting from DriveClub. DC is a mess of a game, but lighting and weather are arguably the best of any game ever made. In DC you can actually pick very specific times of day and have good weather mixing.

With the night lighting in Madden, I liked 15's better. 15's had a sizzle to it like NFL 2K5 had and it felt like a live night game. 16's lost that. The only thing I did like about 16's night lighting is that they fixed how it used to dull out the helmets, especially the 49ers, Cowboys, Panthers, and Patriots.

About the fan stuff, that was nice. What their still missing are the fan scenes from Madden 10. Hate how they take things out, and then when they add something they only do it half-way. I coulda sworn Big Daddy Kane told us no half-stepp'in in like 1988?

Nah. You'd notice it, and you know why? Because the equipment in the game now is so old it's like it's from another era.

It's so bad it's like if in NBA Live they had dudes running around in short shorts and high socks. Ah-ight, it's not THAT bad, but it's not good though.

The 1pm lighting looks good on my tv, I respectfully disagree that any element of the night lighting was better in 15, to me it's no comparison between the lighting in 16 and any previous version besides 12.
