I'd go back to the days of James Brown in the studio and Madden and Summerall as the announcers.
Personally I think it's self-evident that Madden has focused on broadcast-themed presentation - augmented by Tiburon's own little twists, but big-picture focused on looking like real-life broadcasts - since Madden NFL 10, with varying levels of success.

The presentation of the first few XBOX 360 games in particular - what with the radio announcer, the cannon sound effect for deep bombs, the virtualized and blue everything in Madden 09 - was not at all broadcast-themed. It was also varying levels of mediocre to awful. We have come a long way since those games.

Reasonable minds may beg to differ as to how much Madden 16 presently looks and sounds like an NFL broadcast, but personally I think it comes plenty close already, with the commentary from Jim Nantz and Phil Simms ironically being the biggest thing holding back the current implementation. I'm also 100% with Mr Price in that I don't think Tiburon should limit themselves to what we all see on TV.

When will EA actually take advantage of the ESPN liscense? Don't get me wrong, I'm feeling the new presentation but why get the ESPN exclusive liscense when you're not taking advantage of it? NBA Live is, why not Madden. If anything they should've gotten the CBS exclusive liscense 'cause that's exactly what they went for.

I get that they may want to do their own hybrid presentation. That's cool. But it hurts the immersion factor for me.
Yeah, that was close, but there were issues with it and the development team didn't like The Extra Point, so, after Madden 11, they tore it down as quickly as they put it in because we were told they didn't like it.

I agree with the poster above, they bought the ESPN license, why don't they utilize it more often? I heard because it conflicts with the NFL Network from a explanation during the same time frame.

I think the closest version to a TV broadcast was '12.The cameras and after play closeups were very good. The only thing disappointing about '12's presentation was that they scraped the Extra Point instead of building on it.

Please madden team, get the lip guard mouthpieces in the game! It's all I've been looking for since last gen! 40% of the league wears them, it would help immensely in differentiating the generic rookie faces.

To me it looks like some sort of pregame presentation, notice Adams in the background behind them, I'm guessing they are going to show each group one by one as they take the field and maybe have the commentary talk about them, but I do not believe this is presentation taking place during the game, seeing how a WR(Adams) is behind them.
