Jake Arrieta is Playing Above His Already High Ratings in The Show...

Just how good is Jake Arrieta?

Check out these stats from ESPN.com:

Quote:
"With his no-hitter on Thursday, Jake Arrieta is now 15-0 with a 0.65 ERA in his past 17 starts. He’s allowed 61 hits in 125 1/3 innings pitched. Opponents are hitting .143 against him."

Not only is Arrieta dominating the mound in the real game -- he's actually doing so by putting up numbers which would make many playing a Road To The Show career pause for a second and ask, "Should I bump up the difficulty?"

Clayton Kershaw is rated higher than Arrieta at a 99 overall. Max Scherzer and Zack Greinke are both alongside Arrieta at 95 overall.

As hot as Arrieta is though, it makes you wonder should he actually be rated higher? Perhaps all the way to a 99 overall?

What do you think? Should Arrieta get an upgrade? Have you ever gone on a streak quite like Arrieta's over his past 17 starts?

Extremely happy that I bought his card in DD even though the price was lower for a while I imagine it will be a little higher going forward.

The same could be said for Bryce Harper as well. Both of them are playing above their expected projections.

Damn, has anyone ever locked up the Cy Young before April was over lol
Might as well give him the MVP & a WS ring while we're at it.
If SDS doesn't bump up his OVRALL to a 99, then they shoukd at least rename his slider/cutter.

Re: Jake Arrieta is Playing Above His Already High Ratings in The Show...

Since June 21st of 2015, Jake has more no hitters than loses. His last 25 regular season starts have resulted in a 20-1 record with a 0.86 era. I have a question, has anyone here pitched like this on all star or above on the show? I know I haven't and honestly I wouldn't let myself without messing around with sliders to prevent these sort of stats. These numbers just look unrealistic.

Greinke had an ERA under 1.50 through May last year and 1.39 for the first half and still lost the CY.
