MLB The Show 16: Talking Road to the Show (Roundtable)

Road to the Show in MLB The Show 16 is the beneficiary of some big changes to the mode's core formula. Many aspects have been streamlined, allowing for players to more easily advance through the calendar and play more games.

We recently asked members of the OS Staff about Road to the Show, what they think of the mode, and how they're approaching building their player up.

The halo and ball trail make RTTS unplayable. Total loss of immersion.

Re: MLB The Show 16: Talking Road to the Show (Roundtable)

I see where I can play one series without having to back out and load each game. Is there another advancement feature (with the exception of a full on sim of course) that I am missing in terms of speeding up progression?

Agree 100%, a completely baffling decision to remove the ability to turn off ball halo.
In a mode that's all about immersion, this is the equivalent of a fart in a spacesuit.

As somebody who plays as a SP in RTTS exclusively, until this is fixed I'm afraid The Show will remain off my play list.

Both of yall, I agree with 1000% lol. They HAVE to at least somehow add the option if not take it out altogether in the next patch. Otherwise, RTTS is really boring this year.
And I hope they put the camera back for when the ball was in the air like in '14 and' 15, you know, when you were looking at the ball until it comes down? Yeah, I miss that too. 😔
