Will this game receive monthly updates like UFC 1? Should we expect an April update? Thanks!

Re: EA Sports UFC 2 Community Impressions

After playing a against a few guys with Tyson, and several with Jones, I think a good mix of stamina and the power of a strike is needed. Tyson seems rather easy to withstand, but Jones and his reach is tough. But, if you get Jones to about half his stamina, you have a chance. The problem is your strikes do nothing when they should. You can spend so much time defending that your own stamina drops, making it tough to take advantage of a gassed fighter. And even with such low stamina, guys can easily defend a takedown. The logic is odd.

I'd say increase stamina drop and vulnerability to heavy strikers, weaken the strike they are throwing when they are fatigued and increase overall strike damage. The challenge will be though to not tweak everything evenly because then guys that use Jones and just throw kicks will get an early KO. There should be more reward for a guy that is more patient, giving him the opportunity to capitalize on an undisciplined fighter.

If you get easily frustrated with online play then you need to stay far from ultimate team lol. The worst of the worst is in there is far as tactics are concerned. Plus your fighter is pretty trash, so you'll take some weak losses sometimes. You have to have to just not take that mode too seriously.

Re: EA Sports UFC 2 Community Impressions

I'm addicted to Ultimate Team. My heavyweight fighter is something like 12-20 or 12-21 and I'm still having a blast. Most of the fights I've lost have been competitive, at least. My biggest annoyance is fighting dudes who try to max out their reach. I've found success in keeping distance sometimes, but oftentimes they back me up against the cage and I can't find an escape because their fighters are so long in length. I should look to garner some luck when I open up packs and try to get some wrestling-centric cards to help out (in attributes) my boxer heavyweight.
