Event cards are only for the highest tier. When they introduce wrestle mania tier, that will be the event card.

Pics are customizable. When you enter the improvement screen where you train cards, there's a little icon by the picture. Click that and you can change the pic with cards you've once owned

Event cards are either blue or red. Red is from pcc events and blue is from ring domination events

Just checked and I also got gifted a Shawn Michaels even though I was able to claim him during Team RTG.

Looking at the 2k forums it seems like CD is giving the cards to everyone, even those who were able to claim the rewards during team rtg. There was no pop up message so everyone check you decks.
