Roster updates are nice and imperative but I wish they'd work on tendency and touches throughout the season in conjunction with the roster updates.

If anything introduce this for 2K17 and I can see the roster being very dynamic.

SMALL FORWARD
95 (+1) LeBron James (CLE): 26.4 PER, 57 TS%, 32 USG%
93 (+2) Kevin Durant (OKC): 28.1 PER, 64 TS%, 29 USG%
91 (+4) Kawhi Leonard (SAS): 25.7 PER, 62 TS%, 24 USG%
89 (+3) Paul George (IND): 20.8 PER, 56 TS%, 31 USG%
87 (-1) Carmelo Anthony (NYK): 21.1 PER, 53 TS%, 30 USG%
83 (NC) Gordon Hayward (UTA): 19.1 PER, 56 TS%, 26 USG%
82 (+6) Danilo Gallinari (DEN): 19.4 PER, 58 TS%, 23 USG%
81 (-2) Rudy Gay (SAC): 16.6 PER, 54 TS%, 23 USG%
81 (+4) Nicolas Batum (CHA): 15.7 PER, 55 TS%, 22 USG%
80 (+1) Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL): 16.6 PER, 57 TS%, 21 USG%

Just another post where people bitch about OVR rather than specific attributes.
Many players are right on the cusp so it doesn't take much to send a player +1 or -1.

Melo's OVR rating is fine.
He is nowhere near the two-way player that Paul George is (much less Kawhi Leonard). He is not nearly the offensive juggernaut that Kevin Durant and LeBron are.
He is, however, a rich man's Gordon Hayward & Danilo Gallinari. There is a sizable gap between he and those players. Crying about the marginal difference between 88 and 87 without understanding what makes up that rating to begin with is an act of futility.

Aaron dropped also and he is playing solid basketball
Arron Afflalo is an average starting SG.

80 (+2) Khris Middleton (MIL): 16.4 PER, 57 TS%, 22 USG%
79 (+6) Will Barton (DEN): 18.4 PER, 55 TS%, 24 USG%
79 (-1) Victor Oladipo (ORL): 15.1 PER, 50 TS%, 24 USG%
79 (+2) Avery Bradley (BOS): 12.8 PER, 52 TS%, 20 USG%
79 (-2) Wesley Matthews (DAL): 11.6 PER, 54 TS%, 18 USG%
78 (-2) Lou Williams (LAL): 17.7 PER, 57 TS%, 23 USG%
78 (+2) Alec Burks (UTA): 14.9 PER, 52 TS%, 26 USG%
78 (-7) Kobe Bryant (LAL): 13.1 PER, 45 TS%, 30 USG%
77 (+2) Shabazz Muhammad (MIN): 14.2 PER, 56 TS%, 21 USG%
77 (-4) Monta Ellis (IND): 13.5 PER, 50 TS%, 22 USG%
77 (-1) Eric Gordon (NOP): 13.2 PER, 56 TS%, 20 USG%
77 (+2) Arron Afflalo (NYK): 13.0 PER, 55 TS%, 19 USG%
77 (-2) Jamal Crawford (LAC): 12.2 PER, 51 TS%, 24 USG%
77 (-1) Tony Allen (MEM): 10.6 PER, 46 TS%, 15 USG%
76 (+3) Jeremy Lamb (CHA): 17.8 PER, 55 TS%, 23 USG%
76 (+4) Kent Bazemore (ATL): 15.9 PER, 59 TS%, 20 USG%
76 (+4) Evan Fournier (ORL): 13.8 PER, 55 TS%, 20 USG%
76 (+3) C.J. Miles (IND): 14.5 PER, 55 TS%, 21 USG%
76 (+3) Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DET): 12.7 PER, 52 TS%, 18 USG%
76 (NC) J.R. Smith (CLE): 12.1 PER, 52 TS%, 19 USG%

He's had some big games but he is not consistent and he just as many games where he is a non-factor (or worse).
In his last 5 games he is averaging 18 PPG.
In the three before that he averaged 9 PPG on 35% shooting.
He doesn't stand out from the pack and is clearly not at the level of a Khris Middleton (24 PPG over his last 12 games).

Quote:
Derrick Williams is averaging 16 points a game and you still have not showed him any love in the rating
This much is evident, and it's a bit surprising 2K hasn't noticed yet since they did give him a Moments MyTeam card earlier in the year.

74 (NC) Justise Winslow (MIA): 6.4 PER, 46 TS%, 13 USG%
73 (-2) James Johnson (TOR): 13.9 PER, 59 TS%, 16 USG%
73 (+1) Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (BKN): 13.7 PER, 53 TS%, 12 USG%
73 (+1) Wesley Johnson (LAC): 11.6 PER, 54 TS%, 16 USG%
73 (-1) Evan Turner (BOS): 11.4 PER, 48 TS%, 18 USG%
73 (+8) Brandon Rush (GSW): 11.3 PER, 59 TS%, 13 USG%
73 (-3) Corey Brewer (HOU): 9.9 PER, 47 TS%, 18 USG%
73 (+5) Doug McDermott (CHI): 9.8 PER, 54 TS%, 16 USG%
73 (NC) Mike Dunleavy (CHI)
72 (NC) Derrick Williams (NYK): 19.1 PER, 56 TS%, 24 USG%
72 (-2) Anthony Morrow (OKC): 11.2 PER, 56 TS%, 15 USG%
72 (+4) Maurice Harkless (POR): 11.1 PER, 52 TS%, 15 USG%
72 (-1) Nick Young (LAL): 10.2 PER, 50 TS%, 19 USG%
72 (NC) Tony Snell (CHI): 6.6 PER, 48 TS%, 14 USG%
72 (NC) Caron Butler (SAC)
72 (NC) Quincy Pondexter (NOP)
71 (+2) Dante Cunningham (NOP): 8.5 PER, 53 TS%, 10 USG%
70 (NC) Joe Ingles (UTA): 10.1 PER, 55 TS%, 15 USG%
70 (-3) Stanley Johnson (DET): 9.2 PER, 46 TS%, 20 USG%
70 (-1) Kelly Oubre Jr. (WAS): 8.8 PER, 51 TS%, 16 USG%

He is clearly head and shoulders above the lower end wings (40-60th) he is ranked among. There is a legitimate gripe here rather than empty nitpicking.

i van see him bing 77-75 at most. he's way off to me

Looking over his ATTRIBUTES the only thing that stands out as low right now is 45 Offensive Consistency. He is a below average shooter and does most of his damage at the rim. Those paint looks he got against the Nets (with Melo out) are not the same looks he'll get against an actual team.

EAST RATINGS
30-11 Cavaliers = 91
27-15 Raptors = 84
26-18 Hawks = 85
24-17 Bulls = 85
23-19 Pacers = 82
23-20 Heat = 85
23-20 Pistons = 83
22-21 Celtics = 82
22-22 Knicks = 82
20-21 Magic = 80
20-21 Wizards = 85
19-23 Hornets = 81
19-25 Bucks = 83
11-32 Nets = 76
6-38 Sixers = 70

Please, tell us more about how much 2K hates the Knicks

Or, rather than be a homer, you could discuss how John Wall (90) and Bradley Beal (82) are stupid overrated and that Pacers not named Paul George need an increase.

WEST RATINGS
39-4 Warriors = 95
37-6 Spurs = 92
32-12 Thunder = 87
27-15 Clippers = 84
25-19 Grizzlies = 85
25-19 Mavericks = 83
22-22 Rockets = 82
19-23 Kings = 80
18-24 Jazz = 75
19-26 Blazers = 80
16-27 Nuggets = 77
15-27 Pelicans = 80
13-31 Wolves = 75
13-31 Suns = 70
9-35 Lakers = 70

ROFL but yeah I'm sure it's the Knicks that 2K hates, and not the team with a lower rating than the Nets.

Williams doesn't actually handle the ball very much. He is essentially a poor man's Thaddeus Young. It bears noting that Young's defensive activity is the only reason he gets away with his flaws. Young's athleticism stands out at PF but at SF he is just another guy (and the same can be said for Williams).

Williams Play Data
19% Transition: 1.04 PPP (37th Percentile)
19% Spotup: 0.90 PPP (44th Percentile)
14% Cut: 1.36 PPP (80th Percentile)
11% Isolation: 0.98 PPP (78th Percentile)
9% PnR Roll: 0.82 PPP (16th Percentile)
9% Post: 0.91 PPP (66th Percentile)
5% Off-Screen: 0.94 PPP
4% Handoff: 1.00 PPP
4% Putback: 1.21 PPP
4% Misc: 0.94 PPP
3% PnR Ball: 1.00 PPP

Only 23% of Williams' offense is On-Ball Half-court offense (Post, Iso, PnR).
Conversely, Melo is at 58%, so there is clearly a wide gap between Williams and players who actually create their own shot with regularity (read: more than a one-game sample).

He moves well off the ball, but is terrible in the PnR due to his poor shooting. He also isn't the Fastbreak finisher one would think from watching a highlight video that only shows made baskets and not the missed shots and turnovers.

One can argue a higher Vertical rating maybe 10 points higher, but 82 Strength is already quite high and it's not like his speed is any better than your average wing.
