All this is cool what you said until you got into Franchise/Master League. Master League is just as good as CM. I have spent 100s of games on FIFA's CM, 100s on ML. and this years ML is the best yet, defiantly on par with FIFA. I also love being able to edit each team I play to get each team to play different and more to their real life counterparts. If you love sim & depth, its amazing.

After 100s of games on FIFA, i got extremely bored with the same 1 or 2 goal 2-0 victories. Because in FIFA, you can literally beat the CPU the same way every time because the teams play the same.

but thats my opinion. & I know you didn't bring up FIFA, I did. Comparing the two.

Excellent point. I don't play Master League, just some cups and exhabition games. That is probably why I want unlockables so much. To keep me playing. With FIFA (I haven't bought 16, cause I wanted to focus on PES) you get all that, plus great match day atmosphere. That is what I miss in PES. Graphics wisd, I think PES is the better one.

Its still all about manipulation and reading your opponents next move. Their is still PLENTY of team tackling. What is team tackling? When you are controlling a player and the AI on your own team is so moronic that he runs into you and players crumble with pitiful rag doll physics. The Physicality in FIFA is poor. The fouls are soooooo soft, 90% of fouls in FUT are just two players running into each other. In PES i love the insanely realistic animations on the challenges. Not just players running into each other. So PLEASE, stop comparing FIFA to PES as if its better. Because both games have amazing points, mainly PES being on the pitch, FIFA being off the pitch, or FIFA having the better online experience. Where FIFA has soft fouls, PES doesn't have as much fouls. Where FIFA lacks physicality, PES shines. Where PES has weaker goal keepers, FIFA has insanely good goal keepers. Its apples & oranges. This screenshot I think sums up the difference between PES & FIFA. Attachment 113227 I like both games, for different reasons. but in no way shape or form do I think FIFA is a better football sim. PES has the "Unmitigated Joy" to steal words from Steve. Specially offline, where PES really shines.

Like you, I own and love both games, and I agree with many of your points, but in fairness PES is nowhere near being a sim experience either. I can't go 3 minutes of real time without seeing a goal in PES. The keepers are terrible, the shooting is much too accurate, and the CPU defenders aren't aggressive enough for my tastes. I'm playing super fast 15 minute games (begrudgingly) and I've literally never seen a game finish at 0-0. Also, while its improved from last year, I don't much care for the physicality in PES. There are obvious fouls ignored right and left, and I'm constantly seeing my guys bump right off a player in an unnatural manner, particularly if I'm chasing from behind. The collisions just don't look great in my opinion, and I hate the fact that I rarely ever get to take a Free Kick, nor do I have to be particularly discreet with my slide tackles. I'm sure I could go out and get a red card if I was trying to, but in 3+ months with the game I've never seen one called on myself or the CPU, and I could count the yellows on 1 hand.

I find PES to be very fun, just not an ultra realistic game of footy. The passing is sublime and the player movement on offense is fantastic, although it's almost too good in terms of game balance. I love the goal variety as well, I just hate constantly seeing guys hit the bottom corners from 20+ yards while my keeper doesn't even attempt to move until the ball is already halfway there. I've almost had to place limits on myself for finesse and chip shots, because they are so ridiculously accurate and effective.

2 great games in my opinion, but both have plenty of flaws as well. Maybe one day we'll get that perfect game we all want so desperately.

I just can't get over the constant lower shot to the far corner by the cpu. I did a fantasy league with all the best keepers, and all their keeper stats that matter pushed to 99. Didn't matter, CPU shoots low to the far post its a goal

Random question: didn't they supposedly fix the issue with ground crosses on manual passing in the last patch? And yet it still doesn't work for me.
