DiRT Rally Scheduled to Arrive For Xbox One & PlayStation 4 on April 5, 2016

Codemasters & Koch Media have announced the full version of DiRT Rally has launched on Steam and scheduled to arrive for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC(DVD) on April 5, 2016.

Quote:
Today’s Steam launch brings with it the Winter Wonderland update, which delivers a new rally set in the snow and ice of the Varmland region of Sweden to the game. These snow-filled stages are known for their snow banks and Codemasters has pioneered new soft edge tech that simulates the density of snow. As a result, players can now lean on the snow banks when pushing for those stage records. The Winter Wonderland update is free to all DiRT Rally Early Access players.

The update also brings two new cars to the game, the Hyundai Rally and the Volkswagen Polo Rally. These cars are the most recent additions to the pinnacle of the sport and they are the perfect way to round off this Early Access program.

As part of Codemasters’ continued commitment to improving the features in DiRT Rally the Winter Wonderland update also sees the introduction of Steam Workshop support that allows players to share Car Setup & Force Feedback settings. Winter Wonderland also sees improvements and refinements made to Global Leaderboards and League support.

Redbull has posted an interview with the DiRT Rally team, below are a couple of notes. You can read the entire interview here.

Have you had to tinker with the handling and steering (along with force feedback) to cater more for console gamers, and how accessible will the game be for fresh console gamers?

We haven't tinkered with anything. The handling, controls, cameras and force feedback is completely unchanged, and we're aiming for 60fps on all platforms. For fresh players, we've developed a detailed set of tutorial videos that cover all aspects of driving a rally car. We want to teach players how to handle our cars, rather than making things easier.

What's been the most challenging aspect of bringing the game to console?

Both the PS4 and Xbox One have their own unique sets of features, and we want DiRT Rally to be the best it can be on both platforms. We're pushing ourselves to make sure we get the best out of each console, so we'll be making sure that things like PS Vita Remote Play and Xbox One Challenges are complementing the game in the best way possible.
Platform: PC / PS4 / Xbox One

Got this on the PC, game gives a great feel of speed and driving through tight enclosed tracks. A lot of times you close your eyes as you go round a fast bend and your back end is just missing trees. Jumps are class too. Great game

Very Nice, I was disappointed big time with WRC 5. I hope this is good.

Got this game for my laptop a couple weeks ago. Really good, lots of fun. But a pretty difficult game. Have yet to finish any higher than 3rd!
