NBA 2K16: Atlantic Division Team Breakdowns

This is guest content written by Marc Price. You can follow Marc on Twitter, listen to his Post Game Podcast, and read his work on Medium.

Today in our whirlwind tour of the NBA, we are taking a look at the NBA's Atlantic Division. While the overall strength of the division isn't the strongest, there are tons of brand names here that would be fun to play with. The Knicks are a mess, but would be a fun rebuild. The Celtics are in need of much help (but is there a better basketball brand outside of LA?).

In these guides we will look at the strategy for the first year as well as the first three years. Through this, we hope you get an idea of how you should approach managing and building each team in the game.

Does Melo usually accept trades in the game or does he decline his no trade option? If I were using the Knicks I'd probably try to ship him back to Denver. Get Gallo back or maybe a couple young guys. Gary Harris, Mudiay, etc.

i would move Porzingis to center as he has good rebounding and defense. Plus he is 7'3. Then u can go get a pf in free agency as there are more depth at pf in the nba then at center.

As for the Sixers i would build around Okafor and Wroten and decide who else to keep. Noel could be a great big off the bench as hes never gonna be good offensively.

The Celtics i would move Marcus Smart to start and have Thomas off the bench trade Bradley and get better size on the wing. And then trade for a center and use a combo of Crowder Sullinger and smart with said center.

I haven't played this game in years, but it should be fun using the hometown Sixers.

I play as boston. They have good wing defenders in bradley and smart but they lack size on the perimeter and if the offensive player is able to penetrate they have no shot blockers inside

Still trying to target a shot blocker and hoping to get ben simmons in the draft.
