For the life of me I don't get the way they have handled this series. Mind-boggling

Once again just think about it,you'll soon see what's really going on or lack there of, Live never stood a chance, it's all we use to know and something better came along, it's time to take the Live series behind the shed. What's interesting is that I liked the demo but I cannot justify paying more then $10 for this game when 2K is all you really need.

That's such a silly opinion.

The two games have gone around in circles. There was a time when 2K was a budget title, a year or two there where they removed the post game (I think it was 11 or 12 that had zero post moves) and then more recently where a few years in a row (the main game/gameplay) we were being charged full price for roster updates.

Now the tables have simply turned and if EA get their S# together, they will again.

Right now 2K have become what many of us disliked about EA. And thankfully (my personal opinion) there are still a few of us who prefer the free flowing feel of Live from a simple, fun perspective than the slow, chunky, press a button and put the controller down while a 5 second animation plays out type of gameplay.

Talking to and reading some comments from a lot of the guys on the Live stream team has added some perspective. Honestly a lot of them are good guys with a lot of fresh ideas and that's who EA needs to be looking to. Some of it is being stonewalled by the higher ups, and some of it is pride. (Some of their words)

Once the news dropped a lot of them gave some honest and frank feedback that I hope EA and the Live team listens to. Enough #liveisback and glossing over issues....and trying to use 2k's issues as a crutch.

Call them what you want, but they are in touch with the community...this is something the "little guy" usually boasts about while the "giant" ignores the fan base. How is this in complete.reverse? Makes no sense.

Yeah, man. These guys and their backhanded shots at 2K are getting ridiculous. Especially considering the state Live is in at the moment. 2K is universally regarded as the an excellent overall game and is a critical and commercial smash hit. This is reflected in sales, reviews and opinions. I even saw an MLB The Show (great game in its own right) dev in the 2K MyLeague thread liking stuff when the info dropped. If you like Live, great. Enjoy it. Just stop with the comparisons and excuses. Enjoy it for what it is and leave it at that.

Re: NBA Live 16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here

People have discussed which difficulty level is best and so forth. I started out on Pro, went to All-Pro for awhile and have played a bunch on Superstar. I then tried a game on Pro again to see if I can tell the differences.

Honestly I don't see a big difference in cpu style at all. If someone didn't tell me what level I was playing on I could not tell you the difference. They generally move the ball but don't take quick shots. They attack the basket and get over 50% of their points in the paint. When I read people say the cpu plays "better" on Pro I just don't see it. I don't think its worse either. Its just the same.

Furthermore, the user shooting sliders don't seem to need any changing between difficulty levels. I don't think the user gets boosts from playing on Pro and I don't think they get penalized on Superstar. The cpu DOES get affected though. That is the ONE MAJOR difference between levels - cpu shooting percentage. On Pro they will miss a lot more. On Superstar it goes way up.

So for anyone that wants to try and play the cpu on a harder difficulty level almost the only thing you have to do is knock down the cpu shooting % sliders one click and the game will play fairly similar. I'm sure there are other subtle differences but the only big change between difficultly levels are cpu shooting percentages imo. I wish the sliders were in 5 point increments to help fine-tune shooting percentages better.

Edit: I should add it is easier to get to the rim and blow by defenders on lower levels which is why I prefer the higher ones.

Re: NBA Live 16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here

Can someone help me. I haven't played Live in years. Was going to buy 16 but ended up winning a copy in a giveaway on another forum. Since it arrived in the mail, I had only been playing Rising Star. Last night I decided to change it up and started up a dynasty. First minutes of the first game, I chucked up a 3-point shot and it was a horrible shot, because it ended up being taken by a player with a 3-point skill of 25.

What do I need to be looking at to know I shouldn't take a 3-point shot or a long 2-point shot with specific players? I'm sure as hell not about to try and memorize which specific shots I can take which specific players.

2K has a pretty simple visual aid to show if you're about to take a very low percentage, bad shot with a player with a low skill rating for that distance. But despite constantly watching the entire first game of my dynasty, I had no obvious clue what I was or wasn't supposed to be looking at to tell me "don't take a 3-point shot with him, he sucks from long range!"
