I can't speak to NBA 2K, but The Show's roster creation is miles ahead of NHL. As is their player creation. To this day, I don't even really know how SCEA's roster updates of their own are, because I've never been worried about them. When I get the game, I find the opening day rosters that people on these forums have put together, download those, create myself to add to the Brewers, and start my season with great rosters that often have adjusted attributes, corrected pitch types for pitchers, and often revamped farm teams. The created players (if you're curious, head over to the MLB The Show Roster forums on this site, and check out Mo's Caps, the man pumps out tons of faces that look great, which is on top of the default faces that are often pretty solid themselves. I can usually tell right off the bat who a guy is supposed to be in game, which is more than I can say for a lot of the faces in the NHL series).

EA's NHL would definitely benefit from taking a page from SCEA and upping the roster sharing and player creation.

Esa Lindell is missing for the Texas Stars, could not find him the Liiga either. So not sure if he is in the game or not.

Janmark did make they Stars roster and they upped his overall to a 75, was really when he was on the Swedish team.

Just spent a lot of time finalizing this new roster. Here are notable changes I made...

-Recreated Parayko (STL) to 22 years old and a 82 ovr, med Top 4 potential
-Upped Martin Jones (SJ) to an 84 starter potential
-Created Kyle Baun (RW, 79 ovr, CHI)
-Created Anders Nilsson (G, 82, EDM)
-Created Jordan Schmaltz (D, 73, STL)
-Created Jon Gillies (G, 78, CGY)

And I created two guys for the 2016 draft..
- Matthew Tkachuk (LW, 73, OHL London)
-Max Jones (LW, 73, OHL London)
And they are both Medium Elite potentials

The only other changes were slightly bumping Anthony Duclair, Nicolaj Ehlers, Max Domi, Dylan Larkin's speed, and then Jake Vertanen
