Yeah. FIFA still has that on-rails feel where you feel like 90% of the game is being played for you, and with PES it's the opposite, and I feel like the overall AI needs to be improved and more polished. Overall I lean PES, which I've done most years except 2014.

If they put some work into the defensive AI, and worked on fouls this would be the best soccer game of the past 10 years (on the field, I don't care too much about presentation and so on).

And keepers.

Basically, the football fundamentals are broken. Shooting overpowered. Passing, even on manual is too easy. CPU defenders back off and keepers react poorly or don't react at all. Not too mention the game can become back and forth without stoppages because of the foul issue.

I've played 20 min matches where 19 of them will be enjoyable but that 1 min can ruin it.

I'd hold off until the patch to see if gameplay issues have been addressed.

Yeah, I'm getting kinda tired of the CPU sweeping my leg Cobra Kai style. I know that they tackle the ball first a lot of time, but if they take my legs out in order to get to the ball, that needs to be a foul.
I'm actually getting pretty good at drawing obstruction fouls using the pass/shoot feint, but again they aren't being called most of the time.

Also, user controlled players have a habit of automatically tripping and falling over CPU players when they dive in, which is frustrating in and of itself.
