This is their achilles heel. 2k has always had piss poor online, but now this gen the whole foundation of the game is built on server transactions, with all the VC income they have been getting you would think they would invest in that infrastructure.

Online is working perfectly for me. Might be your connection. Try unplugging your modem to reset it.

We still can't play normal 5 on 5 game online? C'moooooon 2k! I can't believe that they can't fix such a important part of the game. Fifa games works perfectly online and also 2K games worked great 5 on 5 online in the past.
