He is in the Oilers system so the AI called him from the Otters at the start of the season. Once they play a shift in the NHL EA will be legally allowed to add McDavid, Eichel, etc, to the NHL rosters.

I thought they had to play an NHL shift, I guess preseason counts? Is Eichel in there, he did play a preseason game already? If so.. I'm kicking mine off tonight!

It needs to be a regular season game... not preseason.

McDavid is already in the game because he played in the OHL for which EA has the license, he was in NHL 15 too on the Otters and you could draft him after the first year.

Eichel, Hanafin, et all were NCAA players and EA does not have the rights to use them. They will once they play their first regular season game.

Ok thanks.. makes sense. I do remember McDavid going 1st in the draft in my NHL 15 franchise. You think they have him in there now with a fake name (Eichel)?
