According to this interview with the senior producer, apparently you can adjust the cap increase every year. So theoreticlly you can have the cap set to increase 5% every year.

I'm hoping that the old jerseys do become alternates. That way, we can rebrand our teams multiple times and develop our own retro unis 10-20 years down the line in MyGM/MyLeague. It would be great (and actually fairly realistic -- team relocatons/expansions usually only roll out with the home and away jerseys in the initial 2-3 years after the relocation/expansion to establish their brand; then they start adding in the alternates).

I don't know if that will be the case (that's be a lot of work, potentially) but we'll see Friday I guess.
