Liking the game although my AI teammates appear to be brain dead at times. Started a season mode and am 3-6 on pro. Pro seems more difficult this year, more so than in years past.

One thing I'm having a problem with is seeing scores of other games that have been played in the season. Not my scores but scores of other games that have been played. Is there a way to see other scores of daily games? Thought there was a way last year but maybe it's in Be a GM and not season mode?

Yeah I asked EA on twitter today & they said it didn't make it in this year.

Any reason to buy one system over the next. Played up my 10 hours on ea access and was sold on trying sports on ps4 this year. But I don't know.

Re: NHL 16 Available Today For Xbox One & PlayStation 4, Post Your Impressions

Well I got my first couple games under my belt and my initial impressions are pretty mixed.

I played the intro game CHI v TB and won 3-2 which is pretty good for me since I haven't played a hockey game in 4 years. I then jumped into BaP as a playmaker and on authentic mode I did great in my first OHL game as we won 7-4 and I finished with 2 goals and 3 assists and had quite a few really nice hits. There were several powerplays for both sides which was nice to see. The game seemed to take too long though so I started over on classic mode.

I had no idea how long the games would take so I put it on 12 minutes to get some extra ice time. That game was dragging on sooooo long and my team was losing 8-2 in the second period (on 20 shots by the CPU mind you) so I quit and started over again. This time I picked 8 minute periods... which was really dumb because it still took ages to get through the game. Hardly noticed a difference from the other two tries. But that wasn't the worst part.

I have adjusted sliders on PRO level to give me some boosts (I haven't played in 4 years remember) and have teammate penalties set low and CPU penalties set high. The first penalty of the game came in the third period when I got a game misconduct for nailing someone from behind which started a fight between him and one of my teammates. The only other penalty was a 2 minute tripping call on one of my teammates. No CPU penalties at all. I really wish there was a SIM TO END option in cases like this because it took nearly 10 minutes to get to the end of the game.

Anyway, I couldn't score at all on 12 shots, checking seemed sluggish and more difficult to do compared to my first game, and I ended up finishing with 2 assists as my team won the game. Want to know the final score?

17-6

Yes SEVENTEEN to SIX.

Now I know 8 minute periods is a bit long but holy crap I've never seen a score like that in all my years of video game hockey (since 1992). The CPU scored 6 goals on 41 shots and my team scored 17 goals on 64 shots. If you take away my 12 shots that just couldn't find the net, that leaves 52 shots for my teammates. 17 goals though? Talk about ridiculous.

The defensive AI is downright pathetic as my teammates were constantly letting the CPU walk into the slot and would barely even try to grab loose pucks in front of the net. I honestly don't know how this can be an issue here in 2016 but it seems even worse than the last hockey games I played 4 or more years ago. The CPU on the other hand constantly clogs the slot and does a great job breaking up passes which makes this all the more frustrating. It's like in BaP they expect the user to do EVERYTHING. Well except score in this case.
I pray that EA can come up with some sort of tuner to help remedy this but my first impressions are that I am going to regret buying this game as this was one of my biggest gripes from games past and here it is again.

Overall, i'm enjoying 16. But yeah the cpu Ping-Pong passing and hyper drive gets pretty annoying vs the ai. And of course although slightly improved....i still feel all alone defensively. But that's EA hockey for ya. Take it or leave it.

Is there any way to save the replays? I can't find a save option in the replay screen (Xbox One). I also tried the Xbox One snap function, which also doesn't seem to work. Thanks for any replies/hints in advance!

Try the attributes slider on 3 (middle), so far it seems like it's really limited some of that wacky stuff. Top lines will definitely hammer you.. but overall since that setting is supposedly true ratings.. lower lines seem to play more dump and chase.
