Then there's this next glitch. This one was just down right bad and a deal breaker for sure if it's not included in this day 1 patch. It's only happened once, so maybe it'll be cool, but once is one time too many IMO for something like this one.

Honestly have no idea how you let that one slip in there.[/spoiler]

Lmaooooo...

The camera man took a bathroom break

But dont feel bad fam both teams on my game decided to arrive late for the game

The camera angle to me (one the demo just uses by default) is awesome. I actually really like it.

My favorite part is all the off ball movement and screens. It seems slightly more relistic in that I can hit jumpers and do not have to always score at the basket. I also like that you can not just force your way inside and always make it. Missed contested shots at the hoop are way improved from 15.

To me it looks and sounds great. Commentary gets old but that happens in all sports games for me. The other sounds are good enough, I can turn commentary low and have it just there as background or off and just listen to the arena sounds and stuff. (I assume in the retail we can tune audio like in all other EA Sports games).

All and all my favorite basketball video game to date. It just is fun to play, which for me is why I buy games.

I do not have PSN subscription so can not comment on playing online.
you don't need no subscription to play online. I don't have one and i'm playing online.

Again, rebounding is bad. The animations are slow, unresponsive, and ugly. Yeah, ratings should play a factor but, if you're standing right there all by yourself and you time your rebounding attempt right you should get the ball, not look like Derpy McDerperson and miss and watch it bounce ever so slowly into the opponents hands.

Passing is a nope. They float far too often which makes them easily stolen.

Steals are another thing. I hardly ever see any on ball steals, like 2 in 20+ games. They always come from taking floaty pass. Unless you have a moderately low steal rating, then you look like Derpy McDerperson as your player reacts to your button press 5 seconds too late. The steal animations are bad as well, even good defenders look like a fish outta water flailing about on steal attempts.

Shot contest. In Pro-Am you get a shot contest directive, I contest every shot that comes at me and none register. I've blocked a shot and it didn't count. WTF counts as a shot contest?

Player movement is slow, clunky, unresponsive and forced. The game will take over and force your guy to run into a screen or post up.

I'm gonna keep playing the demo because I have nothing else better to do but, this game will be a no buy, AT ALL. Not $5, $10, $20 and definitely not $60. I'd have a hard time playing this even if it was given to me for free.
@nova91, you really nailed it with what you said. IMO, while this is way better than what they have made in the recent past, this demo was still a complete joke. Mechanics are horrible, animations stink, players still look plastic-y, and presentation really isn't all that great (play by play and voiceovers sound stitched together and horrible). EA needs to maybe take 5 years off this time to come out with a decent game. Fifa demo played amazing, and NBA Live 16 feels like a game from 10+ years ago -- horrible control. And the presentation never pulled me into the game -- I'm a huge NBA fan, and I was just bored the entire time. NBA 2K is better in every regard, and channels the atmosphere and feel of the NBA much, much better. I hope EA can, at some point, make a contender. For now though, they are still a long ways off...

It may sound trivial but I absolutely love that you can turn off every single icon /overlay whatever you want to call them. I really like my video games to mimic a real broadcast so I appreciate the ability to not have a big flashing circle under my guy. The only other game I believe that let's you do that is NHL. I wish so much that the show, nba2k and Madden would allow it as an option.

The steals are funny as hell since I'm so used to losing the ball to the first swipe thanks to LUT online. To see it go from 4 a quarter to 4 in 3 games is a huge jump

Re: NBA Live 16 Demo Available For Xbox One and PS4, Post Your Impressions

I pre-ordered NBA Live 16 in June. I usually pre-order the summer and autumn games during this period. I wanted to give this edition a chance. NBA Live 14 looked like trash and I laughed at it. NBA Live 15? I only played the demo a year later and I thought it was booty but had potential. What I have seen so far has been great (E3 and media we have had so far), so I was like good I will be okay getting it. I don't do demos, so I was so tempted to play it and I am happy I did.

Pros:

1. Pick up & play - Seems to have the same controls as you know what. Made it easy for me to jump in and do my thing. I didn't even look at the tutorials or anything. If they have the same controls with the real game then this is a plus.

2. Presentation - I am in love with the ESPN presentation. Makes me feel like I am part of something. This is a nice touch. This might be the best part of the game so far.

3. A great alternative - It's always good to have options. NBA Live 16 is a good alternative. When you want a break from the other guys then you can pop this one in with no problems. Finish a season with the other guys and you can play this one and do the same thing. It's awesome to me.

4. It's damn fun - This game is so fun. It's not quite there yet but it's fun to play and that's all that matters to me. My time is valuable to me, so if I can play this for 2-4 hours then I am good.

5. Replays - I love this feature. Pressing R3 to replay what I just did is awesome. No need to press pause or what not. I can do it myself. I love it.

Cons:

1. Rebounding - Like everyone has said, it's freaking horrid. It feels like you have to press triangle 50 times just to jump and when the man jumps it's super slow. Rebounding sucks ***. Boxing out does nothing either. Like someone else said, you can have 4 guys on your team in the paint but the opposing team will get the rebound every time. I have always had more defensive rebounds than offensive rebounds but this is just ridiculous. Both sides of the ball are hard to grab rebounds.

2. Controls are not fluid - Controls are the same as you know what but they are still stiff. Passes are slow. I love playing SSOL, run and gun, 3&D type of ball and I can't really do it on this game. I did beat the dust off of the Bulls with the Warriors by 25, so that was my best game that plays to my style.

3. Not a true NBA simulation - It's still very arcadish. It's fun to play but it's not even close to being a simulated NBA game. I grew up playing NBA Live from 95 to NBA Live 09, so at least it's true to the brand but it's not a competitor. I would say by NBA Live 18 it should be there but not even close right now.

4. Defense is non-existent - The offensive part is fine. The defense? It's hell. The AI on your team does most of the stops and that's not good for me since I love to smother my man and play elite team defense. The defense is not in my control.

5. Point guards are unstoppable - John Wall will have a field day in the paint. Layups, floaters, hook shots, teardrops, etc are impossible to guard. They always go in no matter what. You can't block them or anything. Chris Paul was killing my *** when I was the Cavs but I still won by 16.

Conclusion - I like NBA Live 16. Too many people are harsh on the demo. At the end of the day, it's a demo. Don't be disappointed here. It wasn't going to be a competitor this year. I give EA a couple of more years until they get it right but I am happy we finally have a good alternative in basketball. Makes it feel like the old days of gaming where we had multiple versions of sports games. This makes me feel like it's 1995 again. I can't wait to play the full game in 2 weeks. The other guys, NHL 16, FIFA 16, MGS V and Mad Max are keeping me busy until then.

Good job, good effort, EA! You're almost there!
