Did this patch address the custom playbook issue where formations would just disappear?

Yeah, I was playing a game around lunch time today and playing the Jaguars vs Packers.

Bortles took off running more than a few times and I thought that was odd, plus the Packers had more sacks vs prior to the patch.

EA needs to fix this and the other crap that's floating around.

I'm just going to sell the game now while I can still get full price, then buy it back used later at a discount when they fix the issues that should've been identified by QA.

Not beta testing Madden for another year. I'm not gonna complain about it, just going to get my money back and play something else. It isn't worth the energy.

Shame the NFL can't have a working game ready in time for Week 1.

My sack totals have increased dramatically post-patch. Thought it was a one game anomale, but this is like Madden 15 level sacks

something is definitely up with the QBs. I just played brady and he was scrambling way too much... got a few sacks on him that would have been throwaways pre patch.

Alright, this is gonna be a bit of a long post, but I just need to express my feelings on this situation.

EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. Every year there are glitches and bugs that make this game near unplayable in certain modes.

This isn't even me being angry, this isn't me taking a jab at EA, or at Tiburon, or anyone who makes this game; but to me, this is absolutely unacceptable at this point.

Let's just cut to the chase, when the developers tell you not to start your franchise mode and wait for a patch, you can call the mode "broken", and I hate using that word for videos games. Is the mode accessible? Yes. Can you play games in the mode? Yes. Can you sim and play multiple seasons in the mode? Yes. Will you have fun doing it if you care about realism at all? Hell no.

The outrageous confidence boots on these "goal drives" makes every game a blowout, 63-22 victory, I mean come on, how did this make it past testing? Or, if you knew it existed, how could you willingly ship this game in its current state and be okay with it? I know I'm not okay with it, nor are other users on this site.

Then, the LT regression issue. 34 sacks given up by Greg Robinson?? His pass block goes to a 36 rating?! My god, this one seriously just makes my head hurt.

Rookies not being scaled correctly, now QBs are even facing a nasty regression bug with their AWR.

It's said by someone every year on this board that we buy this game to be QA testers, and this is the first year I'm actually going to echo that sentiment.

Now, I'll give credit where credit is due, they came out with a patch fairly quickly, kudos to them. This tells me they already knew the issues existed, and they were working on a patch before the game even shipped. Fine, whatever, we all bought the game, is what it is.

But to patch and tune the game, and significantly change the way it plays. Now before I get all the, "it's a placebo, game plays exactly the same" replies, no, it just simply does not.

The tackling is definitely not as organic as it was before the tuner and patch. Everything seems to be stiff, 1 on 1 tackles all over again, it looks boring.

The running game, my lord how the running game has changed. I learned that I had to work to earn my yards rushing in this game, and I would be successful. The CPU was what needed a tuning to their running game, but instead, the HUM game is so beefed up, I can easily rack up 150 on the ground without even trying at this point.

Now we get to the almighty pocket QBs scrambling almost every play and taking a sack. I don't even know what to say to this, on top of robo QB showing its ugly head again, I can't even fathom what happened here.

We shouldn't have to test the game, and find massive workarounds that those of us with busy and hectic lives can even begin to do. I don't have time for 32 team controlled CFMs, or to go and mass edit ratings, or change all the QBs in the games traits, or switch all LT positions and do the god damn hokey pokey for things to work right!

I've never been more annoyed with a Madden game in my life. I will NEVER buy this game on release day again. This is the first time I have in maybe 4 years, and I realized what I haven't in so long. I've given up on this series. No development team in the world can undo what has been done to this god forsaken game.

Good luck to you all who will continue to support this game. To those of you who continuously slider test and try to find workarounds to make things so as they're intended. You're all a much more patient group than I, and I salute you.

I'm selling this game while it still has value, hopefully someone else will find much more enjoyment from it than I did.
