Passing and Shooting are nerfed control wise giving them the sense they are more random and realistic but no. Because now the CPU has your lower difficulty powers and they go on wonderful runs and all passes and shots are super accurate Legendary - You have to make every single player on your team move by taking control of them. Rarely will any of them think on their own. Herding cats... The CPU is firing on all cylinders No other sports game that I know of does difficulty this way, making your players stupider to increase the difficulty. Another fifa head scratcher, if you do the Free Kick advanced skill game the Free kick control is wonderful. You can bend and swerve the ball like a player really could. Get into a game and the free kick system isn't as under your control. I guess it's just dragging code forwards year after year but other than that I just don't know why it's still like this. I mean why can't free kicks and corner kicks be real time? Every throw in should be real time, goal kicks too. The whole set play "reset system" is poor.

Spot on. This is something that has annoyed me to no end. The fact that my team gets dumber instead of the cpu just getting better. Its why playing on higher difficulties requires slider sets. Otherwise they are unplayable. And even then the scripting breaks through in every game. And its why when you lose a game on WC or Legendary you are probably angry at the game for its b.s. you are seeing.

The way the game plays on Pro this year however, might be where its at for slider fixes. Because of how it feels and plays. And honestly I've lost a few matches on pro in the demo. Which I can't even remember the last time I lost a game on default pro in the a FIFA game. Maybe 10.

I'm really loving this demo. Your CPU teammates play great in the midfield, they actually make moves to intercept passes and cut off passing lanes.

Check out this video (I don't even know if it will work to share it this way or not. And there's a long pause at the beginning, I made it hastily, lol)

My CPU teammate, reads the long pass, and darts forward to make the interception. I was so taken aback that I couldn't go forward and make a good opportunity from it, haha.

And the CPU opposition players play so much more realistically. If you play sound positional defense, the CPU will try to bait you into getting out of position by playing a possession game, and back passing from time to time. I have even seen a CPU player completely stop with the ball to survey his options. I don't think I've ever seen that in FIFA before.

Wouldn't be creating any full tactic or formation sets or anything like that, just discussing how things seem to be working for now.

When people give impressions can they also state what difficulty they are playing on?

No judgment given, semi-pro, pro, world class, legendary, all have their merits.

But it will give us all a better idea of what is going on.

It is seeming like Pro might be the sweet spot, I'll have to try it out because World Class and higher is just unplayable at the moment.
