I have a few questions:
- In Pro-Am can we select in which position we play or will the game decide? Would be much better if we could choose.
- In Pro-Am, how will the CPU players (for those who dont have 5 users) be selected? Because I agree with the idea that they cant be great players who do too much. At the same time, giving us random scrubs that cant do anything would handicap certain teams. For me, it would be ideal to let us choose the player from the position we dont have and cap the available players are a decent rating (OVR 80 seems fair to me). That way, there would be no way we could rely on the CPU to make plays but they wouldnt be a non-factor in both ends.
- Will your MyPlayer's weight affect how he looks this year? in 2k15, it didnt matter if you were 6'8'' 190lbs or 6'8'' 270lbs, your body shape was always the same. Considering how much they focused on bringing different body shapes to NBA players, it would be a shame if all the MyPlayers' body looked the same, like last year.
- In terms of gameplay: Will the post fadeaway be a way to get easy baskets this year? I remember constantly, in MyCareer, facing guys like Dwight Howard, who would always make some even though he probably never made one in his career. Also, guys like Carlos Boozer would never miss on HOF. In MyTeam, I faced a guy who only did that same move with MJ and KD and there was no way I could stop it. It seems like 2k doesnt really account for good contests on those shots and way too many players are able to hit them constantly. Also, a lot of times I tried to defend the shot properly, and, instead of going at the shot, my defender would jump straight up. The post fadeaway needs some serious nerfing and there should be better animations to contest it.
- Again, relating to gameplay: How will the difficulty change affect the gameplay. A few years ago somebody at 2k confirmed that increasing the difficulty boosts the CPU ratings and doesnt make the CPU smarter, which was incredibly disapointing. That means that a lot of times you have to try to defend every single player on the court, This year, does increasing the difficulty mean making the opponent AI smarter or boosting the ratings like it has always been? (Especially considering the emphasis at AI this year)
- I would also like to know what were the steps taken towards better servers this year. Last year there was a big emphasis on that point. To their credit, the servers have improved considerably in the last few years, but it is still clearly underwhelming. I personally experience significant delay in EVERY only game mode.
- About MyTeam: They talked about dynamic rating cards and I'd like to know how will injuries affect those types of card. For me, they shouldnt. When a player gets injured, they should leave him with the rating he had before getting injured. I just think this factor is too unpredictable and unfair to the gamer, especially considering there's already the risk of the player not performing well and having a rating decrease that way.
- About MyCareer: I'd like to know if the ACE (Adaptive Coaching Engine) is in ful effect on this mode? If the coach will make more adjustments than ever and use your player properly considering his strengths and weaknesses. For example: If I'm a SF and a great defender and I'm facing James Harden and the Rockets. If the SG on my team is not very good on D, will the coach assign me to Harden? (please say yes)
- Another gamplay issue: What were the changes made to physics on alley-oops? It seemed like last year throwing an alley-oop was the money play on every fastbreak. You had to be extremely precise about projecting yourself in front of the catcher before he jumped. Completely unfair. Also, a lot of times you glued to the catcher before he caught, pressed the contest button and it wouldn't affect the play one bit. For me, it has to be nerfed considerably.
- One of the main problems with MyPlayers, especially in the only enviroment have been the height caps. It was even worse with the 7'2'' PG "Demi-Gods" this year, but have always been a problem. How have you changed that this year? For me, they should simply cap the heights much lower. In my opinion, the ideal way would be caping them at a height that is oversized but not exagerated. Of course there are players like MCW, the Greak Freak, but allowing everybody to create someone like that just made the game unbalanced. The caps should be: 6'4'' PGs, 6'7'' SGs, 6'9'' SFs, 7' PFs, 7'2' Cs. That way, people can still create big players to have size advantage in MyCareer but wouldnt be absurdly difficult for people that create average sized player to defend them. As a 7'2'' center, it was almost impossible to defend 7' SFs when they would attack the rim, because at layups they would simply finish too high.
Thanks for the attention and I hope you have a good time there at 2k @DustinToms!
