Someone smashing down the turbo will never get it, which is fine by me, but there's no reason it can't also be tied to the pro-stick as a throw between the defenders.

Now THAT sounds like a concept I can get behind.

The only difficulty here is that it might not work for people who play absolute-- but maybe it's not that bad if we enter the realm of context sensitive pro-stick modes. I think pro-stick directional passing functions on relative even on absolute settings. But it may be confusing for pro-stick to function in absolute but in relative when sandwiched in a P&R configuration where a throw backwards from the player is an escape step back but it normally is down. I guess having it mapped to a throw upwards in absolute in a pick and roll would make sense but it takes the precision directional control aspect out of things.

I do consider it pretty important given the progressively smarter AI defense, and it's one of the solutions my favorite player uses to counter what the league and this game now throws at him.

There are ways to beat full court presses. That's why NBA teams don't always do it

and on top of that they can tune things in the online game in updates
I'll second this. Not worried at all about "fullcourt cheese". I think it is in place simply to slow down a ball handle and I think the team at 2K have enough awareness to know the risks of such a mechanic and not implement if it's an easy exploit (based on the rest of this blog and the fact OG is behind it)..... my opinion.

I really love that the defense has been overhauled..I just hope theres a sense of "balance" in gameplay...

this may be the first year that the defensive options maybe more advanced than the offense.

Have to agree on that there might be some epic defensive struggles going on which is going to be a good thing. I have a feeling the defense will be creating T.O.'s but if you know how to swing the ball and play to the strengths of your team you will be ok. I think this will be the first time in a long time where the BBall IQ and stick skills will be on par with the what you can get away with on offense.

I have a feeling online will be on 2K11 level probably even better.

This might be a stupid question but.... Why is everyone so excited for the Jordan rules? Plus how will they be implemented if Jordan isn't on court? Are they excited for the bulls pistons 90s re-enactment?
