However, if im Curry tho and i see that i have space, i don't want to see an "elite" defender slide into place like that to cut me off.
It's always raining for you isn't it *sighs*
Lighten up man the game looks great, its a process.

Noticing Some Small Things:

Watch DeAndre Jordan bounce on his feet at the very start of the Raptors Pick an Roll defense video. Small, life-like touch as he just bounces for a second before stopping. (Also you still see a little of that herky, jerky movement -- players look smooth going from a standstill to jog, but the run makes them look a little too stiff for a moment as they get going)

------------------------------------------

Watch Dudley immediately sprint back on defense as Wall shoots (that hesitation by Wall looks so on point, especially right before the final gather to shoot.) But Dudley realizes Wall is no longer last man back as he's inside the arc now.

------------------------------

A little bit of weird warping/slipping going on off ball in the LBJ/Melo video, but what I will say is I think this is better than the former where just random off-ball cuts end up leaving shooters open for 3 because defenders run into other players when there wasn't any real reason for a guy to get so open. I also wonder if stepping on the sidelines will be a thing more often when you're mega pressured (and depending on the type of dribble you try to do). I'd be cool with it.

-----------------------------------------------

This isn't a little thing, I just want to say this is delightful. You do hope on some level a guy like Tyreke will be able to body up certain smaller/rookie defenders and overpower them, but this is still good times:

-----------------------------------

Watch DeAndre's hips give way as he doesn't want to pick up the foul on the hard hedge. This was sort of in the game last year, but man it looks so much better animation wise here.

-------------------------------

The Bucks switching here doesn't stand out on its own, but I'm sort of interested to see if a coach's philosophy will change. JKidd loves to switch everything, he's pushed for the hybrid switching style, but he's also had guys like Livingston and Deron and Joe Johnson and so on who are big guards or wings who can switch onto bigger players. If the personnel isn't there, will JKidd stop switching so often?

-----------------------------------

Godddddddddd. That second jump, the off-hand swat, just everything about this is so good looking. Obviously you hope not every post defender can do this, but a basic pump fake where AD doesn't bite all the way should lead to this result sometimes.

---------------------------------

Poor Kobe

-----------------------------

Because OF COURSE they're even adding signature limps at this point. I love the minutiae of the real NBA. Like it has the weirdest Twitter surroundings, the weirdest blog surroundings, just in general the craziest and weirdest people love this sport and I think that obviously filters over to the games themselves. People obsess over such random things in the NBA, maybe because there's so few players and many of the coaches are former players themselves, but it just breeds this type of quirkiness that blends into everything. I might not be explaining this right, but if you follow the NBA really closely and those that cover it, it really does have second to none coverage that leads to people obsessing over stuff like this.

Here's a few questions I have about coaches.

Will assistant coaches have their own offensive and defensive philosophies for when/if they become head coaches?

Will AI teams draft and sign players based on your coaches playing style?

Do coaches adjust starting lineups from time to time during the season and playoffs?

If any of these ring true, I will be 100% happy with the new coaching system

The defensive improvements are so timely. Can't wait to go work with Cauley-Stein

Good eye Chase I've caught some of the same things

I like I think they showed in the winning video multiple jumps and we see the effect on defense with Ant Davis there!

If there weren't like 20 videos I would consider hooking you up, but even though I'm rather proficient at making GIFs it's too much of a time sink. Just wait until you get to your PC maybe and it won't close down your ish?
