if kobe is an 85 than you just have to wonder what the other SG's rating wil be like for example Jimmy Butler, Wade, & Klay...

So per 40 shots LeBron would miss one more shot than Jordan.. Does that make Jordan "straight up bad" as well? Is 2k going to lower Jordan's ratings for his past prime self? Likely not, so that's where this is unfair. Jordan also wasn't averaging borderline triple doubles and grabbing over 13 rebounds.. So yes excuse me for thinking LeBron's performance shouldn't require him to have a rating drop when he's piling up numbers like guys from the 60's in today's slower paced and lower statistical era.

To put in perspective, 2k15 a 2nd year Jordan is a 94, rookie Tim Duncan is a 90, Payton is a 92, Wilt a 94 not prime 50ppg Wilt but 35 year old Wilt who averaged 14 points per game, Oscar is a 95 not triple double averaging Oscar but the 33 year old who averaged 17/7/5, Iverson LOL a 93, Shaq at 23 years old a 95, Julius Erving (does nothing better than LeBron) is a 95.. 30 year old Bird is a 98, 30 year old LeBron is a 94. Their stats? Per 36min Bird 24.9/6.8/8.2 and his playoff numbers 27/7/10 at 44 minutes, Per 36 LeBron 25.2/7.4/6 his playoff numbers 30.1/8.5/12 at 42 minutes..

But go on and keep telling me how those guys aren't being overvalued and current stars undervalued.

Here's the question, in this new system are those old ratings still going to be applied to those players at those ages with those numbers. If they do then they're undermining their whole system.

The post baseball MJ really is a 92-93 Ovr player. His mythological status makes people want to apply the 99 to him for that time period. The 1987-1992 Mike was the 99 player, the same case can be made for the 2007-2013 LeBron.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Re: NBA 2K16 Player Ratings & Screenshots - Day Four: Kobe, Wall, Ross & More

Im just saying, ratings or not, the last 2 years including a 37% season, that needs to be reflected in the game, period.

I don't care to argue like some people live off of, but it's just real life..the guy has not been what some of you imagine him as in years past.

The sad part is the people in here always screaming for 2k to have more defense in the game are justifying this rating by offense only and completely IGNORING the fact that he was worse than what people were clowning James Harden for.

Overall he should not be playing like some kind of franchise star player I have to gameplan around only with the way he plays and how bad he's been.

Also 23, at this point in his career he isn't close to the same level of player as John Wall, Harden, Paul George, Chris Paul, Griffin, etc. all of those guys that will be rated around the same as Kobe is.

but like I said, forget all the numbers being thrown out here when thats not even what 2k is using.

I don't care how much some of these guys like Kobe, he's just NOT that guy. I don't agree with saying you can't judge him from the past 2 seasons....

Wait,

I'm not trashing him, I just need to see how it plays first. If I can do the same things with him that I can do with LeBron or KD then

Now I'm really interested to see how everyone reacts when Paul George gets an 87+ overall after averaging 9 points on 36% shooting.. should be fun

Depends if they have a bias for Paul like they do with Kobe...and if multiple seasons add up to him being lower than that both by numbers and the eye test.
