I think losing points is a great idea. If you're getting on to play your weekly game anyways i don't think the 5 minutes extra to scout will hurt.

With kids and a job that requires me to work 55 hours a week, no I really don't have an extra 5 minutes to scout. I usually saved all scouting until the offseason so I could knock out all the offseason stuff in one session.

I always liked scouting during my bye week and then in the offseason. I don't really want to have to scout every week.
