I think Revis is overrated...he is being benefitted by reputation..like many players continue to get voted to the pro-bowl by name recognition

I disagree with this so much...just look at the Patriots pass defense numbers in 2013 and 2014 they are night and day. And it's because of Revis. They were somewhere around dead last in 13 and last year they were in the top 5. He literally changed our entire defense last year. Belichick likes playing zone as he had since Asante Samuel left in 2008. But last year he signs Revis and Browner and for most of the year they play man defense for most of their games.

Revis was not great in Tampa with a bad d! He was more effective in a good d like last year. IMO

He wasn't effective in Tampa because they were playing him in zone too often. You give man to man against top WRs and he will shut them down. Go watch the games versus CHI, GB, CIN, etc he shut down most of the top WRs in league last year.

Actually he was as good as ever in TB. The point of the criticism is why pay shutdown money and not use him in that capacity (man to man).
