Re: 2K Pro-Am in NBA 2K16?

Rec holds 60 people at once.
There will be 20 less users on the new rec.
And if there are 4 courts per rec on 2k16, there will be less people roaming around the courts.

How do you figure that there will be 20 less users on the new rec? It says 40 players playing simultaneously, not 40 players total. That means there will be 4 courts per rec, 40 players playing, while many others wait for a game on a Got Next spot.

Basically exactly how the Rec is right now. 4 courts, 40 players playing, the rest waiting.

I just don't understand why they want all this free-roam and 50+ players in a single lobby when they know their servers can't handle it.

Re: 2K Pro-Am in NBA 2K16?

What's the point of having all 3 factions back if you're just gonna patch out their boosts right in the middle of the tournament like you did this year? Why play the mode at all if they haven't given us any inclination they intend to monitor performance of the servers better so that the spots actually work? Where is the assurance that the zig zag, stepback, circle jerking rebound cheese is gone?

I see no statement that leads me to believe you've IMPROVED these game modes instead of rehashed them with new names.

Boo this news.

Re: 2K Pro-Am in NBA 2K16?

All of this sounds absolutely dope.

But all of this means absolutely nothing or very little to Sim players if

1) Cheaters / Hacks / Demigods go unpunished like they currently are

2) The gameplay is cheesey as hell due to too many badges, exploits, low difficulty, and NBA JAM arcade gameplay like it currently is

3) Bad servers

How 'bout we get the functionality to match the flare?

But that's born of the crying from 2k11 - "it takes to long to be good". Bull****. People expected "good" to be no less than Michael Jordan. But even so, the day you see dudes jumping 20 feet in the air with fire coming out if the ball and rim, then you can say the game looks like Jam! Just please stop with the dramatics.

.
Put that crap on Superstar or HOF difficulty then. 2K14 and 2K13 simply had more balanced gameplay -- even on blacktop -- then the NBA JAM 2K15. Hell, even 2K13 street was more sim than Jordan Rec Center. Much of this was due to the fact that someone could only have 5 signature skills, which allowed players to have to choose their speciality and actually have your my player have a (gasp!) weakness. You couldn't load up on all offensive sig skills and expect to be a lockdown defender etc. Simple stuff like that helped balanced the game more than we see in my park.

The game is pure arcade right now, there's no getting around that. Just spectate any mypark or JRC game:

Re: 2K Pro-Am in NBA 2K16?

All these new modes / features are sick. Now if 2K could just nail the gameplay so that BASKETBALL wins games instead of arcade double-teamed- hand-in-your-face = Swish arcade cheese isn't the norm.
