Rocket League Review (PS4, PC)

It’s very rare these days to see an indie developer get the resources, platform and timing they need to make their game a success. We’ve seen some zeitgeist around titles like Super Mega Baseball last year, and the Trials franchise has received some additional development and support that enabled it to reach a wider audience. But with Rocket League, developer Psyonix has been able to take its singular rocket-car soccer idea -- which originated with Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars -- and turn it into something with a high degree of polish and a lot potential users.

I think 9 is a tad high but this was a surprisingly fun game. 7.5 for me. PS4 version.

9 is too high?!?! It's a really fun game. Even more fun with friends. Definitely a 9 right now. If the servers ever become stable it's a 10 for me. Pure fun.

Until the servers are fixed it is below a 5. When things stabilize it goes to a 10.

This game is great when the servers are working. It's very addicting and there is a lot of strategy that goes into this game. It looks simple at first, but it has a lot of depth.

Easiest way to describe this would be gaming crack. Played through the training and then a couple of seasons against pro AI to prepare for online, which was a great way to learn the game. Online has been near perfect for me, sticking with mainly the Oceania server and occasionally Euro. Sounds like most of the online issues have been with the US servers though. Brilliant game this one!

I am not really an avid online player but this game totally got me with its online mode. Just pure fun. Wonderful game!
