Madden NFL 16 Presentation Improvement Details Coming This Week

Personally, I hate playing in the year 2024 and hearing the game still remind me of stuff that happened in 2014. QB will be on his 2nd or 3rd franchise by then and commentary will still be talking about how he was "the man Team A" wanted in the draft. Yeah, let it go.

I would rather hear them pop-up last season's stats when they "introduce the QB" and then the commentary team just give some generic details about the previous season, kind of how NBA2K does.

"Joe Smith finished last year 3rd in the league in TD passes"

or

"Joe Smith had a solid season in ____, tossing over 30 touchdowns and throwing for over 4,000 yards."

This way you don't have to have them read lines saying the exact stats "4,218 yards or 32 touchdowns" and then tie their commentator tone to a few parameters that define whether or not the season was successful or not (stat thresholds, team record, playoff or Super Bowl appearance, Pro Bowl acknowledgement, major injury, etc.)

Just throwing you guys a teaser. Stadium atmosphere is going to be a big part of this. Rex briefly touched on this though.

Fix the crappy, limited playbooks? Nope.
Fix the crappy, game-breaking blocking AI? Nope.
Fix the crappy, game-breaking defensive pass AI? Nope.
Fix the crappy, randomized penalty system? They say yes...but we all know...Nope!
Fix the jaggy physics which lead to a broken running game? Nope!
Fix the passing mechanics to reflect more real-world trajectories and pass types? Nope!
Add in any kind of gameplay enhancing functionality, expanded 'next-gen' franchise mode? Nope!

Did we update the graphics in our menus? YOU BETCHYO ***!!!

Remind me why I haven't purchased Madden since 07? Oh...riiiight!

Will say the presentation in 15 was an improvement over the release from a few years back. Still a lot to be desired with replayability / repetitiveness in the commentary though. It would be nice to get a complete half time show, with ongoing stats from other games in the current one (when in franchise) so you feel it's a live game, and a weekly update of what went on around the league. Those items lend itself to immersion in a season for a franchise and add greatly to replayability of the game. The short stories and tweets are ok, but definitely lacking in that respect.

Yes, a new one, but an incomplete, halfway implemented one. So we still need a new one that's worth watching (stats info, around the league, etc). What they added was good, for what it was, it was just incomplete.
