I think one of the problems is that a lot the GC'ers have a mostly online, user v. user mindset as well and that heavily alters what they might want to see out of the game. I remember one of them saying last year that FG kicking was going to be rough and that sounded really good but in reality it meant maybe missing one or two FG's out of every 30 kicked. And maybe that is rough when it comes to playing online but it's not even close to real for the most part.

Despite however 'sim' it might be, there's very few people that want to go through stuff like the Lions did early last season and even more so when it comes to online whether it's an online league or just random matchmaking. Same thing goes for QB accuracy.

My guess is u would still be annoyed and come down just as hard on Ea for its priorities. The fact is we know why ea does what it does.

The primary focus has always been on adding features that can be on the back of the box. New equipment and true step for all 22 players aren't those types of features.
For me yes honesty would be good. They would say that and I'd be able to give up on the game and move on. Instead they always make it seem like they are going to adress what users like my self want adressed and I end up getting burned.

Maybe it's more glamorous now. Like Macaroni Grill or something.

Some of them do, but I wouldn't say most. Everyone wants the same thing, a sim game. The only caveat, is everyone has a definition of "sim" and that is hard to achieve across the board. Rex and the devs want sim football as much or more than anyone on these forums, I promise you that.

Nope. They aren't. Back of the box features are for casual fans and most casual fans don't care about those things.

A very base and general statement to make.

They're going away from the BOTB mentality. Look at M15, that's going to be a trend for them.

Doesn't make it less true. Show me a time EA has ever put something like "improved player movement" on the back of the box?
