Honestly if EA would tell us why things aren't being done or why they can't be done I'd have an easier time dealing with madden. Tell us why equipment hasn't been updated or what is going on with True-Step.
Yeah @SimFBallCritic needs to change his twitter handle to @MaddenFBallLover It's amazing when these guys become GC's they must have to partake in a RE-Education class or something. They become a Marketing ploy for sites like ours. It's like becoming friends with someone, You no longer want to be too critical of them.

Not sure what goes on Twitter or YouTube, etc...., but it appears that news is fed into Twitter and YT before it appears on OS, so, not sure how it becomes a marketing ploy when they don't promote their links here, instead other people do or make mention of it.

Really? All it would take is honesty?

If Ea said we don't update equipment often because polling shows us that most people don't care about mouthpieces or accurate helmets, you would be cool with that?

My guess is u would still be annoyed and come down just as hard on Ea for its priorities. The fact is we know why ea does what it does.

The primary focus has always been on adding features that can be on the back of the box. New equipment and true step for all 22 players aren't those types of features.

Realistic movement, foot-planting, step-taking, pursuits for all players etc. are not back of the box features?

IMO an answer is better than no answer. It may annoy me but it's better than just shrugging me off.

I can agree with that on some level/things, like if EA would just stop claiming realism as a priority but for stuff like why equipment isn't updated, no matter what they say isn't acceptable, imo. 1) because they could reasonably get it done if they wanted, I mean come on if gamers can do some of this stuff in their free time after the game is out, EA could get in done at Tiburon for free by any number of volunteers, 2) other games, with equal or lesser resources are able to do a better job of these things and 3) it's hard to give credibility to EA's claims because of their track record for misleading statements.

I guess I'm saying I could respect anyone/entity for telling the truth, even if I didn't like or agree but not for offering up a myriad of excuses and justifications for things not being up to standard.

I don't understand the purpose of having two different catch buttons. When would you use an aggressive catch over a possession catch?

You rarely ever see receivers consciously choose to make a highlight reel catch unless you're watching and OBJ or Julio Jones pregame warm up. The overwhelming majority of those highlight reel catches are purely contextual. They're performed in situations where they can't catch the football conventionally and have to make a last minute adjustment as a result of a bad throw, defense, or misread of the ball.

Yeah, I don't expect it from EA. They are selling a product. If they had to admit the mouth pieces couldn't be added because they keep warping into faces or whatever they would be ripped all day.

Gcers though, especially ones that supposedly speak for the SIM community should do what they did before the program. If EA says they added qb inaccuracies, I'd expect them to take EA to task if it fails or make vids showing it in action instead of suddenly towing the company line about how you'll feel the difference when you get to try the game.

I can see why they do it, but because of that I know longer trust their opinions. I can get the same results from reading the back if the box.
