Re: Madden NFL 16: First Look Trailer (Be the Playmaker)

What the trailer showed is the best case scenario from Madden. All we saw were new animations, which is all we can reasonably expect will improve the gameplay. I know Rex said they are adding layers onto what was already built, which isn't surprising; but hopefully these new WR interactions are a demonstration of the improvements of animations overall. Hopefully, it isn't shoehorned in.

Without graphical improvements of any kind apparent in the trailer, maybe we can assume priorities shifted to what has been neglected. There are so many football moves that dont have animations yet. Like all the ways a WR can get off the line. I havent played Madden in awhile, but isnt there a Beat Press rating? Or how bout stutters/fakes immediately after the catch?

To answer this question - there is a Release rating, which has been called Beat Press in past editions of Madden. They're one in the same.

It's matched up against a defensive back's Press rating to determine the interaction between a receiver getting off the line of scrimmage for a route and a defender in press coverage.

If anyone finds a comparison to purchasing electricity to be a reasonably equivalent argument, well then that pretty much rules out a chance of a good discussion on the subject.

I mean I know that this is The Internet, and this is what occurs here, but I would hope that there would be some places that are bastions of refuge from intellectually dishonest arguments. Hyperbole for the loss.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

What stood out to me most was when Webb's( I believe )hand knock Brown's hand off the ball. I downloaded Madden last year and barely touched it so I don't know if that's something new, but it was impressive none the less.

You know what's really disappointing. This looks nowhere near that RG3 trailer they showed us a few years ago. Doesnt even look like the same game. This looks like PS3.

Casual fans don't care. The general public thinks that Madden is great. The community is actually the minority. Therefore, the game will never improve because the general public doesnt care that the equipment is from 2005 or they don't have mouthpieces.

Its not a cop out. EA has been sued over the use of unlicensed tattoos (NFL Street). Also when they considered using generics people complained and said that it wasnt authentic so they decided not to even use the generics.

Von Miller reportedly bought the copyright too. Its not as simple or as cheap as you think. People arent thinking about Madden when they get tattoos and its not like they negotiate those rights when they get the tattoo. In order to get the copyright, you have to negotiate with the tattoo artist and he may not be willing to sell you those rights for cheap.

I'm not in the general public and I could care less about mouthpieces.
