Sure didn't see evidence in any of that or a flashing "new physics" banner or sign so I'm thinking...

Sorry to say it but thats exactly where madden is headed. WR/DB "interactions" are going to be all about timing out the button for aggressive catching and when done "perfect" it will be an automatic catch. Just like usering a DT meant automatic shed block and warp to the ball carrier for a TFL.

It's a cycle, they continue the trend of adding mechanics in top of an old crap engine. This leads to the features they add too not work as advertised, this leads to them redoing them again in future games instead of working on something new.
Two things I liked about the trailer, they seem to have eliminated the force field between db and wr while the ball is in the air & I like the fact that receivers seem to fall to the ground after making catches instead of landing on their feet all the time. Hopefully every streak pass isn't perfectly thrown in stride even if the receiver is wide open, they still need much more catch variety even after the over hype inaccurate passes feature in Madden 15 was suppose to had create more variety catches but I couldn't tell.
