There's something about it that just isn't right to me. I was thinking about trading DriveClub in for Project Cars because of all the things I mentioned above. It seems like I can tune the settings until I can figure stuff out, which I can't seem to do in DriveClub. Does that seem like a worthwhile swap?

PC is much more sim and will require lots of practice to be fast. If you are into true sim racing I would say make the swap.

Rolling starts are frustrating as hell on this game. It's like playing survival of the fittest until the field spreads out and into their lines.

That's a tough call. I like DriveClub a lot, but I think Project Cars is deeper and has more future potential. I may be wrong. DriveClub has gotten many cars and even an entire new zone for dl. Project Cars is in need of more cars, and DriveClub has many more point to point races. If I knew Project Cars will have more cars and tracks in the future, then I would say make the trade. But if DriveClub sort of feels wrong to you, then most def pick up Project Cars. It is a quality game.

I frankly don't know if I'm into sim or not. I've always gotten frustrated with the fact that I can't just pound the accelerator and gave up.

But I've given it more of a shot with DriveClub and am really enjoying figuring stuff out.

Related question, can I play any track in a time trial so I can get used to the handling? And is there an option to turn on a driving/racing line to help me practice taking turns and breaking correctly?

Yes, you can. PC also allows you to do warm up, practice sessions and qualifying prior to the race.

Awesome. A driving line will help me a ton. Thanks for the info, I think I'm gonna go for it.

You can even do a free practice mode that lasts for 250 laps. That's what I have been messing with.

I think I am going to switch to automatic transmission for now.

Yeah I may have to go automatic. I'm struggling to keep cars on the road and at the same time I'm not paying attention to the rpm

I'm doing great at karts though, my only 2 online race wins were in karts on pro setting with no aids.

Also anyone down for just practice runs online? I noticed the lobby settings are pretty detailed, could put as much as 90 minutes per practice session
