People have touched on improving AI all year, especially for QB's, but it is also true for playcalling. Sick of calling plays out of I-Form Big, or other heavy (non-goalline) sets inside the 5, and the CPU calls a play out of a base defense, with two deep safeties. Also, on third and medium/long, you pretty much know the CPU is going to call either a slip screen, or four verticals half the time.

Clock management needs to be touched up to. Can't remember if it's still this way, but for years the CPU was programmed to always call a timeout at 1:01 in the two-minute drill. So if they got tackled with 1:15, they would basically waste 14 seconds of clock before calling the TO. The CPU shouldn't be calling a TO at a hard-coded time like this.

Maybe I'm thinking of something else but I could've sworn that they patched in the ability to import draft classes in the first iteration of CFM (13 or whatever?). Of course, that was technically CCM but the only difference I see is the addition of owner mode. Can't imagine that slightly different take on the mode would cause anything to break.

I'd love to see the ability to edit/share draft classes, too. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting on it though...

The second paragraph is no longer true anymore.

I still have and play 15, the CPU takes timeouts at different times.

It's obvious none of those things stopped Live Opponent from being implemented in the first place though and some would like to see some version of it or something similar return. In spite of your "if" and general opinions about game design, I'm still of the opinion it was nonsensical to remove it in the first place given next-gen madden's track record on questionable feature removal, you don't agree, ok got it.

Also wanted to add seems odd to me that anyone would try to spin feature removal as sensible in reference to Madden when the current Madden dev team has come out against it as a poor practice.

Maybe while they're reworking wr/db interactions, they'll give special teams some attention. Both haven't really been changed ever, and making special teamers more important would have a huge impact on how you manage your franchise. Combined with practice squads, franchises would be much deeper.

I just wish return teams would try to create seams. Maybe assign their block animations similar to an o-line play, with traps, stretches, reach blocks, turning defenders. I think special teams blockers should direct their blocks with purpose more than prevent an attackers' movement.

Looking at this through the context of knowing full well what Madden is and isn't by their track record; I hope to see the "true step" applied to all 22 players on the field; WR/DB interaction (seems to be a given at this point); more "signature" animations like running and catching styles. Add more elements from past Madden franchise/Head Coach modes to CCM. I'd be good with all that.

Man I want nothing more for that stuff to be in the game, but knowing how these people operate, those things are wishful thinking.

Yeah, it is a little. But I have learned to keep it simple with Madden until proven otherwise. I could give a laundry list of things I want improved or added to the game, but at this point, why waste the keystrokes?

That being said, I already know I'm gonna get the game. And I did enjoy Madden 15 on the XB1 more than any other Madden since 07 on the PS2. There's enough there for me to get my moneys worth. I don't expect any wholesale changes at all. But if they could add a few items I mentioned I'd take that as a win. That's where we're at with Madden now.
