I think it would benefit from a completely over hauled depth chart. 4-3, 3-4, specialty spot players such as slot receiver, 3rd down back, formation subs.
Having a practice squad would be huge. A small tidbit would be 're ability to actually practice in CFM with our team or at least the ability to export them into the rest of the game.

Throw the ball away or take off.

Which is fine - you buy the games you want to play and I'll buy the ones I want to play. However, do understand how some may find any criticism you offer of any game baseless if you lack firsthand experience with the thing.

This made me laugh, hard.=)

Since the moderators have requested that no more 2K talk go on in this thread, I'll leave you with this classic adage:

They are by no means in the wrong for that point of view, much to the chagrin of the "sim community".
This is on point. As a serious "sim" guy who only really plays CFM, it took me quite a few cycles at Tiburon to realize that my view isn't the only view, nor is it necessarily "correct".

Now, I don't try to proselytize "sim", instead I just push for realism. Even when I get push back about how some aspects of realism aren't fun, I push for them. Sometimes they are right that no one wants the game to be 100% realistic.

I recognize the "progressive improvements" in gameplay, but my opinion is huge steps were taken backwards in franchise. As gameplay has made some improvements toward realism, franchise has made huge steps toward arcade. It's my opinion that these improvements in gameplay don't come close to making up for the steps backwards in franchise. Now this is just my opinion and I realize others do like the franchise changes. I don't.
I actually agree with this. The first steps toward CFM were backward steps. There have been some nice improvements (dynamic draft classes), but there have been some HUGE issues (WR regression this cycle, what I consider a broken owner financial mode).

That said, Kolbe (who came over from The Show) is a guy I think has vision and knows how to execute.

Re: Madden NFL 16 Launches on August 25th - News, Features and Details Arrive in May

Madden 15 for me was a huge success. I am still playing it (been on a hiatus though since MLBTS15 was released) but still into my CFM etc.

That says a lot. I have not had this much fun with Madden in over a decade.

My hope is they improve upon the things we most want.

1. WR/DB interaction - should be the #1 priority

2. Penalties/replay - 1B priority big time\

3. CFM - keep improving and enhancing this. Injuries need to be dynamic and implemented properly.

I think M15 made a lot of meaningful progress. I really do. It was to this point the most realistic version of Madden I have ever played on the field.

Looking forward to August and seeing what they have done under the hood.

Did the time they spent making Madden 25 and 15 add up to a year or more of development time? So it takes 3 years to have one full year of development time? The Madden Math continually confuses me. What cycle are we on now? Can someone put this on an excel spreadsheet or something?

I really find it amusing, it's like the biggest, longest troll job in the world every year. It's like an 11 year troll at this point. I literally LOL reading about the excuses and cycles EVERY YEAR.

I gave up hope years ago, and every year I play the game, I shake my head and say to myself, "I can't believe it, they did it again, another year down the tubes". I try to play it sometimes, play with a friend here and there, but it's just so frustrating that there is SO MUCH missing after SO MUCH TIME, that no dev cycle or 3 year plan can make a reasonable excuse for. I've seen glaciers progress much faster.

I have accepted that Madden IS Nba Live, just with no competing products to show Madden for what it is.

Nothing personal against your post or anyone who likes the game.

I might be able to get into the game more and accept it's arcadey style but for the fact that so many legacy issues have lingered for so many years that I feel kind of dirty when I play Madden. I don't reward mediocrity or give false praise or pander in any other part of my life, so Madden strikes a nerve with me with so much left unfinished that no excuse/dev cycle/legacy code/multi year plan cop out holds any weight with me.
