Something I dislike about the patch....

Transition/fast break AI is a mess...guys on the wing are back to just blindly running under the hoop for no reason. Even if they are a shooter who would spot up like Korver, they go stumbling and bumbling to the rim and create a giant cluster(blank) of players just running into each other in the paint.

Mike gave us a complete break down and additional info (more than what would be provided on standard patch notes) on shooting.
Lefto's has confirmed the tweaks to the regression issue..

While yes, patch notes would be fantastic at the time the patch dropped, we aren't completely in the dark here.

I respectfully disagree. We don't know if 5, or 105 things have been altered/adjusted. While I do appreciate the explanations regarding shooting and regression, we still only know a fraction of what was done. Patch notes would solve that mystery.

It's awesome that they have broken those down in detail, but they really should have the full list of all fixes and tweaks ready to go when the patch drops.

Thanks.
I play on PS4. Sim sliders with some tweaks.

Inside shot success 38
Close shot success 38
Mid shot success 43
3pt shot success 45

Contact shot 25

Driving Contact 75
Inside Contact 90
Jump Shot Def Gather 70
Jump Shot Def Release 70
Help Def 45

On-Ball Def 40

Off Consistency 45

I play on All-star but also tried it on HOF.
Played 4 games and got just under 50% FGs for user and cpu.
I play on ball d and user timing with shot meter and feedback off.

Maybe a bit more tweaks and it will be ok.
I think sliders can definitely fix shooting problems with this patch.

Re: NBA 2K15 Patch #4 Available Now, Primarily Addresses Shoe Issues

To me looking at this logically 2K switched the shooting up so much that it may change how you defend certain players and the FG% you shoot.

Can anyone share boxscores playing vs. on HOF sim vs. CPU?

Something concern me from a strategy standpoint

Open shot % given to players is more than likely higher than reality they don't shoot better when open or contested. So now let me use Westbrook as an example I would usually like to give him the jumper then contest late because that is his weakest area and he really is too fast to be pressing him. He shoots 40.1% from open >10ft shots 35.5% when tight 2-4ft nearest defender. Open is considered 4-6 ft from nearest defender he also shoots 51.9% from when wide open 6ft+ from nearest defender.

With the new patch Westbrook now is most likely shooting a delta of 15% greater (60% new patch was 45% prepatch) when open so instead of 40% jump shooter you now have something like a 55% jump shooter when open that is a huge change.

Last season around the same time from this article, players were shooting 5.4% better on uncontested shots than contested on average. Some players actually shot better on contested shots by a small margin but still. My point in this is the open bonus is way too high it will impact gameplay. You will now have to contest shots you normally would give up to average shooters.

From this article

http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2014/0...d-in-his-face/

For 2K16 seriously think about adding open shot ratings and contested shot ratings and rework the perfect release mechanism where perfect equals automatic shot going in. I don’t think that should be the way it is.
