while I like having the real courses but the big thing is I always liked the controls in the Tiger woods games and the season modes and such. Dose golf club have similar controllers to tiger games? Do you hit the ball the same way? Is play on the green like it is in tiger games? How dose the game look? Those are the things that I am not sure about if I should get golf club or not. I would love a demo but there is none. I don't play the tiger games that often as I just have so many another games I like to play more often but I did always like the EA golf games a lot.

Golf Club gives me limitless courses and an amazing online experience for $35, and they're still adding FREE updates to the game. I could care less about the PGA license honestly.
What are you talking about?

I'm not fan of EA like the next guy but go back through the Tiger games and you'll see how many courses they offered each year. Then in 2014, they offer 20+ in the base game and for those who want more, DLC. It's not like they offered 5 and you had to buy DLC to get the normal amount. You don't have to buy them.

Again, I don't like EA and I actually hate the DLC model the industry is turning to but it's not like they're not offering a good number of courses when there are just as many in there as previous versions of the game that had no DLC (Tiger 05 only had 14 courses).

Why charge for courses at all?

Why not offer 100 or 300 and continue to do so? It costs time and money.

If they're offering the same number or more than previous titles but also offering additional, that take time to make, and people want to buy them, so what.

You're still getting a $60 title without them so what's the problem?

100 or 300? Where in the world did I suggest that????

If the bar is 20 courses I think that's a little low especially if some of those courses are battleship laced courses.

I buy a football game or a baseball game and get 30 plus stadiums....

I understand that a lot more goes into a single course than what goes into a single stadium but I don't feel it to be unrealistic to ask for a season that has a different course for each event....

I'm all for having a realistic conversation if you want but please lay off the hyperbole (100-300 courses?????).

You imply by stating why charge for courses at all. Why not make the game free? (jokes, I'm just kidding )

Okay, hyperbole aside, I understand and to a degree, agree with you. I was merely pointing out to the other poster that we still get a $60 title with DLC on top. The bar isn't 20 courses, I was just using the previous games as a base for the argument as those had no DLC. Most of us would argue that it wasn't enough back then either.

So overall, I'm not arguing with you. I merely wanted to point out that DLC did not replace what we were already receiving. It just added extra to those who wanted it I guess.

Completely agree, I actually don't have a problem with them selling DLC as it's my choice to decide if I want to pay for other courses or not (which I never have).

My largest point of contention with courses and DLC was that it seemed like I needed to buy DLC in order to make a base function (career mode) play as it should.

I can't remember if they changed it in the latest version but when I was playing this game heavily before losing interest the season would have many events played at the same courses (I understand there are some events played at the same course IRL, but not as many as in the game).

In the versions I remember even if I payed for a course as DLC I couldn't add it as a course in an event in my career which was the only mode I ever played.

I'm not against DLC in general since it's my choice, but I never felt the base mode really had enough to justify charging extra for courses.

If they were to fill an entire calendar with unique courses you would never hear a peep from me about additional courses as DLC since I realize that unlike TGC these course cost EA money to recreate.
